varaven45 Posted May 30, 2014 Posted May 30, 2014 The boys have settled into another funk- filled with uninspiring play and crappy results. What happened to this scary offensive lineup we kept hearing about in the offseason? The only guy that's scary right now is Cruz and he can't do it alone. The pitching is incredibly inconsistent and the situational hitting is absent once again. It's time, before the season starts to slip away, for Buck to pump their arses up and get their collective crap together. There's time to pull it together - it's still May - but this team need to finds its mojo pretty dang soon.
dc. Posted May 30, 2014 Posted May 30, 2014 I didn't like dropping Pearce into the 2-hole yesterday. If Markakis is leading off and getting on (he generally is), is much prefer to see Jones, Davis, Cruz than Pearce then those three... Instead, as yesterday, Markakis gets on and inning is over before Cruz gets a swing.
cravnravn Posted May 31, 2014 Posted May 31, 2014 Last nights loss was a bummer..Outstanding pitching, bats silent.
varaven45 Posted May 31, 2014 Author Posted May 31, 2014 Yep. The team is stepping backwards and needs to get out of this funkorama.
