Titans place Michael Oher on injured reserve

The Titans have lost another starting offensive tackle for the season.

Tennessee put right tackle Michael Oher on injured reserve with a toe injury, the team said Saturday.

The 28-year-old Oher started the first 11 games for the Titans before leaving the lineup with the injury. Byron Stingily has filled in at right tackle with Oher sidelined.

Pro Football Focus graded Oher as one of its lowest-rated qualifying tackles through Saturday, assigning him 26 QB hurries allowed.

The Titans’ starting left tackle, Taylor Lewan, is doubtful for Sunday’s game vs. the Jets with an ankle ailment. Lewan replaced veteran Michael Roos, who suffered a right knee injury in October.

To fill the open roster spot, the Titans promoted second-year cornerback Khalid Wooten from the practice squad.
