vmax Posted October 11, 2009 Posted October 11, 2009 Adversity has struck his team and it looks like a deep blow given their performance Sunday. The deep blow is more like team weaknesses being exposed. Especially on defense. Phillip Rivers started it...hell, a back up QB, Brodie Croyle for the hapless Chiefs started it in week 1....116 passer rating! No pass rush and a secondary that desperately needs one. Then there's the rash of penalties...bogus or not it's giving games away. They are not playing like "RAVENS"...his mantra and goal. They have not become better each week or the best Ravens they can be. John has had success up until now but he is entering new waters. How will he address and correct this? Quote

All week I've been told of the great coaching staff we have. Then prove it, show me. Make changes make the dline, lbrs, cbs and wrs better. Our defense group is suspect. That needs to be addressed and quickly. The offense needs less attention. Flacco and the wrs would be running routes all week long tues.-fri..Either get it working or get out. Quote
vmax Posted October 11, 2009 Author Posted October 11, 2009 That's part of the deep blow dapetes. He's got to get Matteson to 'make some changes'. Clarence Brooks too. Add Mark Carrier and Vic Fangio to the list. His assistants are not getting the job done. He has to confront them...his people...light a fire under them but not alienate them. That's tough. Baltimore is 15th in points surrendered at the moment. That is not Ravens football and it's not playoff caliber football. Quote
dc. Posted October 11, 2009 Posted October 11, 2009 Cincy's statistical numbers suck and yet they are 4-1. Screw the numbers. Win the games. Stop making mistakes and win the games. Quote
