The Cincinnati Bengals were rated the worst sports franchise in ESPN The Magazine's annual rankings.

In all, 122 professional teams were rated in numerous categories such as players, fan relations and affordability. The Bengals brought up the rear out of all the teams from the NFL, NBA, NHL and Major League Baseball.

“Here’s a reality of this league,” John started, “you never pick up where you left off the season before. We’re never back to a minute left in the AFC championship game ready to take it to the Super Bowl. We’re not there until we earn our way back there again. Every team starts over, and the foundation for us starts right now. We build the whole thing from scratch."

I'm not buying this. The Bengals have been in two Superbowls and many teams have never sniffed one.

Thanks Dee, but even "annual" doesn't jive. Cincinnati won the division and went to the playoffs in 2006 and 2009. This article just chaps my ass, which is already chapped enough
