  1. The problem is not that the refs made the correct call, the problem is the inability of the refs to identify who recovered the fumble in the first place when the play was active on the field.
  2. Gone are the days of a dominant defense in the NFL is what it is. This is an offensive league, a team like the 2000 Ravens will never happen again.
  3. I heard the best offer we got for Gaither was a fourth and some change. Apparantly his reputation is well known around the league.
  4. Don't underestimate the difficulty of playing two teams in a row coming off of a bye week. This is the NFL, coaches, scouts, and assistants get paid fulltime salaries to pick up tendencies and weaknesses of the opposing team. Not to mention these are all very smart professionals at their craft. Give these guys two weeks to work and they are going to come up with a solid gameplan. Thankfully we get a bye now, and I would expect us to be a very difficult team against Miami in two weeks. We really needed this bye.
  5. Holy crap welome back Ed freakin' Reed!!!!!
  6. Roid him back up then.
  7. I think he would fit perfectly in our scheme. He would thrive on the other side of Suggs.
  8. The offense hit some really rough patches. Two drives in a row stalling out at fourth-and-short? The running game has to deliver. The running game did not show up in the second half leading to third-and-long situations. Mason has to come down with that slant in the endzone, it hit him in the hands.
  9. We are a good team, we'll rebound. We get Ed Reed back either this week or after the bye. This one hurts, but it is not a season killer. We are definitely one of the top teams i nthe league, this is what happens when you get two of the top teams together.
  10. What a moron.
  11. That was a pathetic offensive possession. Three straight check-downs!? You might as well run the ball!!!!
  12. Does Rice look gimpy out there to anyone else?
  13. Very nice play call on that screen. Haven't seen that so far this season.
  14. Gametime!!!!!
  15. I don't want to be the guy that says it, because I bet I'm going to have to eat my words next Monday, but Deion Branch? Come on. This guy does not scare me one bit. I think tight-end Aaron Hernandez is the mismatch to watch. The guy is a tight-end who runs like a receiver, can stretch the field, and gain some serious YAC. Brandon Tate is an interesting matchup with his speed as well. Remember in the playoff game last year: Moss was essentially ineffective with his injury. That allowed us to really crunch down on Brady. The Pats will definitely be more prepared this time around, but they are not nearly as dangerous without Moss.
  16. What I am saying is that I believe this story is being portrayed as a much bigger deal than it actually is. I do not think there is a problem at all.
  17. I agree with BallTMore, I'm glad he has fire and wants the ball. TJ came here to win, as long as we keep winning there are no problems at all. He knows that, I don't anticipate this being a problem. As the season goes on, TJ is going to become more comfortable in the offense and the balls are bound to come his way. The only problem I had was his quote on Boldin. Boldin is not getting the ball because he has the contract, he is getting the ball because he is an absolute STUD who is always getting open. Like max said, TJ was not here for 95% of the work we did. That is not his fault, Seattle dealt him a tough hand. But Boldin was here all offseason, so of course Joe is going to be more comfortable with him at this point.
  18. I think the gameplan on Sunday was to run against the Steelers. It looked like early on that McGahee was going to be able to get going and be successful. However, it is hard to have confidence in the running game when McGahee has had two lost fumbles in only 30 carries this season. Then McGahee gets hurt and McLean gets hurt on his second carry and you are left with a 60% healthy Ray Rice.
  19. The Ravens did something today that we have never done and what you guys have done to us for years. Flacco and Birk were delaying and switching up the snap count so that the Steelers defense would show their blitz pre-snap giving our offensive line time to make the adjustments. When we had Rex as our DC you guys would do this to us all the time. I am glad Cam finally picked up on this. It is even more impressive considering on the road we were able get the call into the huddle and get to the line with enough time left on the play clock where we could get the Steelers to show their blitzes.
  20. Oh yeah, Bengals lose too! What a weekend! Peyton Hillis is looking like the next Mike Alstott.
  21. Well, this is where I disagree with you. I didn't think we played bad. Defense stayed strong, the offense stalled out after a strong first half, but they were able to pull it together. I saw a lot of things I liked. Flacco threw effectively to the middle of the field, we used different snap counts to get the Steelers defense to show their blitzes pre-snap, offensive protection was very good, secondary played a great game (hats off to Webb, he is back and he locked down Mike Wallace) and we didn't kill ourselves with penalties. Mind you we did all of this without a starting runningback (McLean and McGahee get injured, Rice clearly not 100%).
  22. Completely agree! This game goes way beyond what happened in the game prior to that drive. Joe won us a game, on the road, against the Steelers. That is going to do wonders for this team in weeks to come.
  23. HOLY CRAP!!!! WHAT A FREAKING WIN!!!!!!
  24. The clock only stops when the ball goes out of bounds within two minutes. Otherwise the clock starts again when the ball is set.
  25. Mason came to play today.
