  1. That we can Cam Cameron.
  2. I agree, and I think Joe would be much better in a WC offense where he is required to get the ball out of his hands quickly. He definitely has the arm for a WC offense, he throws those out patterns as well as anyone in the league. A WC offense would throw some quick slants in there as well (something we NEVER do now) forcing Joe to get that ball out quickly and allowing him to use his arm strength to pound the ball in there. A WC offense would also put an emphasis on Joe's footwork, as he has to drop back from center very quickly and explode out of his back step. This is what Joe needs, because his footwork gets sloppy at times. Zorn did a great job with reseting Joe's mechanics when they got sloppy. I would LOVE to hear Zorn's side of this story. He probably has a lot of negative things to say about this offense. Boy, I wish we had kept Hue Jackson as our OC. I would even like Hue as our HC right about now.
  3. I'd rather have them let go of Cam than Zorn. Something sounds fishy here, if there were communications issues during the season, why didn't Harbaugh just tell Zorn to shut up? And how come Harbaugh and Cam were able to immediately pin point what was wrong this season two days after the Steelers game? Why couldn't we see this during the season?
  4. The Sun states we can use the franchise tag on Ngata:
  5. While hind sight is 20-20, I do agree with your analysis, Ozzie's last few drafts have been pretty weak. Especially tough to swallow when Pittsburgh has been drafting impact players with their early round draft picks.
  6. I wish Cam Cameron would just be "released".
  7. And if there is a lockout no one else can sign him until this whole mess is resolved. I guess we will just have to see what happens. We have until March 31 to sign him, who knows what will happen.
  8. Under 2010 rules Ngata is a RFA. Under 2009 rules we get to tag him.
  9. I agree, no way we trade him and I really think we re-sign him this summer. You don't let a 27-year old, All-Pro, nose tackle who is the best player on your defense (and one of the top players in the league) walk.
  10. Well if we are gong by 2010 rules Ngata would be a RFA, wouldn't he? It would also be an uncapped year. If we go by the 2009 rules we would be able to use a franchise tag, I believe. So we should be able to keep him for this upcoming season at least. Anyways, assuming we tag him or he's restricted, would you trade him? If so, for what?
  11. What would it take for you to trade Ngata? Two firsts? I think nearly every GM in this league realizes that the Haynesworth deal was an enormous mistake. Who knows, all it takes is one insane GM. I would like to think we could sign Ngata for less. I could very well be wrong though.
  12. Mughelli only got 6-years, $18 million with a $5 million signing bonus. The deal Weaver got was the highest for a FB in league history. Still, I understand your point.
  13. Me too, especially since Willis is slated to earn $6 million as a backup running back as it is. We'll have to see what happens.
  14. We'll have to see how much the contract comes out too, but Harbaugh, Ozzie and Bisciotti all realize that Ngata is the best player on our defense. Big NTs can play well into their 30s, if there is someone you break the bank for, it's Ngata. You don't let your best player walk. The fact that Ngata showed up for Pagano's press conference at the end of the season, even though he isn't under contract, shows he wants to be back.
  15. Give Santonio Holmes whatever he wants to play here.
  16. Certainly an interesting idea, I like it. However, be prepared to pay McClain Leonard Weaver-type money, or more. Weaver got 3-years, $11 million with $6.5 million in guaranteed money (with incentives to $11.7 million). At least $3.67 million a year for a part-time fullback, back-up running back, what do you think? I think it would be worth it.
  17. Bisciotti so far has been very open with the check book. If there is one guy you break the bank for, it's Ngata. On the topic of free agents, I would give Santonio Holmes whatever he wants to come here. He is exactly what our offense needs.
  18. Way to go Ozzie! Cundiff more than deserves this deal and now we won't have to worry about our kicker for the next five seasons. If Cundiff was this easy lets hope that Koch is next! Then on to Ngata. However, pending the CBA, Koch and Ngata could be RFA this upcoming season:
  19. Like I'm going to go to games anyways.
  20. Haha well the Raiders went undefeated in the division so they can hypothetically make that claim. What I like most about about Pagano is that I see a guy who could be with us for awhile as a DC.
  21. No, I agreed with your point. I am just saying when you drop the big one it makes you a lot less credible. Mason dropped a big touchdown pass in the Pats game this season then dropped that gimme in the Steelers game last season. Our guys do not step up when it matters.
  22. Pagano made himself pretty adamant that he would never return to Oakland and work under Al Davis:
  23. I LOVE what I am hearing from our guys about Pagano. From Pagano himself: You have to love the energy Pagano brings! The guy is hungry and wants to make his mark. And how about Haloti Ngata being present at the press conference, that really says a lot considering the guy is a pending free agent.
  24. There is also a big problem when you have your receivers clamoring for the ball then drop key passes in crunch time
