  1. He's the Haynesworth of LT's. I cant believe Oz is doing this one week before the season starts. I don't want to see Oher on the left side, thats the reason we got McKinnie.

You're saying that because I'm assuming you don't think they will go full no huddle which actually helps Oher. Most fans like you probably think the Ravens will run the same offense they run every year and they were just teasing us with the no huddle talk. I'm telling you now they are dead serious about running the no huddle offense. Oher is more nimble and quicker in that set than McKinnie.

  2. will get you something at the Dollar Store.

We know the offenses and defenses weren't game planning....the D's were showing nothing and a lot of these numbers were put up by the 2's and 3's.

I was a little shocked to see the Ravens at #1 in so many offensive catagories. After many pre seasons of dismal numbers by the offense, this is refreshing. It tells me the system fits the personel and that they are comfortable in it. That's all.

Of course the huge question is: Will this translate into the regular season?

    "They hardly used me."

Vmax Ray Rice will not be forgotten, trust me when I say that.

  3. Jason La Canfora‏@JasonLaCanfora

Ravens signing former Steelers QB Dennis Dixon to their practice squad. Tyrod Taylor, their No 2, had shaky preseason though team likes him

    Jason La Canfora‏@JasonLaCanfora

Ravens had Dixon in for offseason workout, chose to sign Curtis Painter instead. Painter, since cut, was with QB coach Caldwell in Indy.

    Are we happy now?

  4. Dukes has been on this for a while, this isnt something he just came out and stated, I heard him call for a Ravens-Packers SB in July.

It's been since June actually (I tweeted him about it) and it's Ravens-49ers not Packers crav. My shock is that he's finally warming up to Joe Flacco and he sees Flacco being the reason they get to and win the Superbowl.

  5. Billicks on the Bandwagon.... :gorave:

12-4 is a strong prediction against that schedule.

12-4 could happen, I wouldn't bet money on it but this is the NFL where you never know what could happen. The 2008 Steelers had the NFL's toughest schedule but they went 12-4 and of course went to the Superbowl ( after beating us in the AFC Title game). I'm not saying the same thing will happen for the Ravens but the possibility is there.

  6. I don't know...is Dukes ever right about anything?

But your right OTR...it's amazing for a Raven Hater to say something like that.

I love the offense and we haven't had Pita and Dixon on the field for Joe.

Vmax Dukes was a Flacco hater not Raven hater, he loves everyone else on the Ravens but his issue was with Joe. Dukes picking the Ravens to win the Superbowl (yes he also has them winning it all with Flacco winning Superbowl MVP) doesn't mean they will win it but I was just surprised to hear him say that Joe would be the biggest reason for them getting there and winning it all. Total Access is on NFL Network right now for those of you who want to watch the segment.

  7. He just said it on NFL Total Access and he said he believes in Joe Flacco (He said write it down) and that he will help carry the Ravens to the Superbowl. He has the Ravens beating the Steelers in the AFC Title game. One of Joe's biggest haters has come around so you know things are different this year. You have know idea how stunned I was to hear that, Dukes has been really hard on Joe.

  8. I guess the bottom line is we don't have a competent backup who could help us win a couple of games and there's no one out there to do it who's available.

A real weakness for a Super Bowl contender.

If Joe gets hurt, Max is right. You can just kiss the season goodbye.

You guys are reacting to what just happened in the last preseason game, if Flacco is healthy all year are we really going to address this again? NO They went with Taylor as their backup last year and they were one dropped pass away from the Superbowl. I do understand that with Peyton Manning finally showing that he's not invincible by missing all of last year with his neck injury that Joe could get hurt but it's not going to be easy to just bring in a backup QB who will fit Cam's system. I understand you guys being upset but until Joe actually gets hurt don't waste your precious energy discussing this, your going to stress yourselves out over nothing as it stands now. If he gets hurt you can scream, get pissed off or whatever, don't do it now.

  9. Aaron Wilson told Ken Weinman on 105.7 the fan that Brown lacked speed and that he more than likely will be placed on the practice squad. He made plays in the first 3 preseason games but disappeared last night, needed to keep it up.

  10. I don't know how you can pick the Bengals to finish ahead of the Ravens. They were what, like 0-7 vs play off teams last year. A complete turnaround of that stat seems far fetched.

Whether the Ravens or the Steelers finish first will depend on whichever QB stays healthy. Last year Ben got injured and the Ravens finished first. I could see that happening again this year, but Flacco so far has played in every game, a streak I could see come to an end at some point and the Ravens will struggle at that point.

But picking the Bengals to finish ahead if all teams are healthy? Errr, no.

He picked the Cowboys to win the Superbowl, his picks were downhill from there.

  11. Hensley definately lost his credibility with me.

Now...If the Ravens make the playoffs they will have a tough row to hoe.

I think they can beat the Steelers and the Patriots. San Diego too if it's here...or any team from the West.

    Any team from the East.

But Houston....they are close to getting the Ravens number..... If they pick up where they left off, then they will be in the SB this year.

I'm saying that because I have my doubts about the Ravens defense. Kruger, Upshaw, Kindle,...they haven't shown me anything to make me feel comfortable. McClennan is playing well. McPhee too.

Big doubts for Williams and Smith too.

    Sadly...Ray looks old.

I do believe the offense will make up for most of the sins of the defense. Joe will have to carry this team to the Super Bowl and he has a great cast to help him with that load.

I agree with you about Houston but at this point I say bring it on, they are a damn good team but it ain't time to be scared.

  12. I have to admit, he really is extra negitvie when it comes to baltimore... Like baltimore's line is the big reason he picks us 3rd... but Pittsburg's line oh everything will work out.

Exactly, the funny part he picks Dallas to win it all as if they are stable and trustworthy. According to him the Ravens won't overcome Oline issues but Pittsburgh and Dallas apparently will. I always told my friends that the Baltimore Sun writer who was destined for ESPN was Hensley, he's always been a negative prick but he's polished enough for ESPN.

  13.

Dude, Hensley is terrible. I thought he was bad when he was with the Sun and he has been worse with ESPN. If you follow his blog, he tries to overcompensate with other teams in the division. I think he felt going in as the AFC North blogger people would have a natural bias against him because he's followed the Ravens his whole career. Anyways, it's pretty awful. Poorly timed observations, dissing of the Ravens for no reason, and just overall bad commentary.

You're right he's terrible, he points out the Ravens issues but the Cowboys are stable enough to win the SuperBowl? Really? Really? He bashes our Oline but the Cowboys Oline looks worst at this point. I don't know what he's smoking.

  14. A Monday Morning Quarterback (King's weekly article on CNNSI.com) tease from Peter King:

"I'm going to hold my Joe Flacco stuff until next Monday, because I want it to get a wide airing, and because I'd have to keep it too short here. Flacco and I talked a bit about the no-huddle, and how much the Ravens are likely to run it this year -- "I'm looking at our offense as total no-huddle" -- and what it could mean to the efficiency and explosiveness of what they do.

Sorry to keep all you Ravens fans waiting. Come back next Monday to get your Flacco fill."

I'm looking forward to reading King's article on Monday.

  15. it's crazy to me to realize that Stephen A Smith is the realiistic one of those two. He was up in arms when Skip was talking about Ray and Reed.

I don't always agree with Stephen A but he keeps it real and makes sense. I usually just ignore Bayless for the most part but what he said about the Ravens was beyond dumb. He truly is ignoring the fact that Flacco gained confidence after his AFC Title game performance and the weapons the Ravens have at WR and TE. Everytime he mentions Tebow he hurts his reputation more and more.

  16.

Just consider the source..Where is T-Sizzle when you need him, he would put Ballsless in his place.

Bayless is a joke, he got creamed by Yankees fans and other media members for linking Derek Jeter to PEDs. Here is an example of how much of a joke Bayless is and continues to be:

If they did that Rice would not last past Dec. I guess he hasn't noticed Rice isn't 235 lbs.

Bayless has no common sense. This is about his dislike for Joe and the fact that Joe was ranked higher than Romo on NFL Network's top 100 list (Romo of course is Bayless' other son along with Vince Young and of course Tim Tebow).
