I don’t think Lamar on a bad ankle gives us too much to evaluate. We’ll go into the off-season in Qb limbo. I say tag Lamar, get a healthy OL and backfield, then revisit a long term contract late 22 / early 23.

Max, after an “incomplete” 2021 campaign, I don’t know if anyone else could have done better with our Swiss cheese OL (btw - letting Brown walk was a huge mistake) and obliterated backfield. In my opinion, they have to give Roman one more year and while at it Lamar needs a year of “good” health, a 100 % return of Gus/JK in the backfield, and a fortified OL, esp the LT and RT positions. Afterwards, Roman has either figured it out or not. We’ll know then for sure.

Almost as pissed as we are having half our team on IR/COVID and down to 3rd string QB.

For once I don’t think we’ll need to concern ourselves with Harbs going for a 2 pt conversion. This game shouldn’t be close and Cincy wins easy and going away. Fwiw- Cincy has been the best team and deserves the AFCN, especially with half of our 53 man roster on IR or COVID. Our guys have fought courageously and given us many great moments this season. Very proud of that and look forward to a healthier season in 22

Completely agree ! This team has morphed into losing and forgot how to actually win games. Changes in coaching/key personnel and a return of 20+ from IR will put us back in AFCN hunt next year Tough off season decisions - QB and OC - in the offing !

what do you think for the Browns game we run - a la Belichick versus Buffalo - and try to run the ball 40 to 50 times just to keep the game score low and try to require a run game for the stretch run? maybe reinsert Tyson Williams and Nate McCrary into the lineup just as an infusion of energy and speed. thoughts ?

TSY, Lets hope we eclipse 8-9 wins but who the heck knows. With a healthy Lamar, hopefully we can sneak a few more wins.

I don’t know about coaching. But we won on the road in ChiTown- against a desperate team that needed a W- all this with a 2nd string QB, a recycled backfield and no Holllywood Brown; and a final last minute drive with Zero margin for error. Some team made the final play to win and we are sitting at 7-3. Beer’s going be a whole colder tonight ! On the negative Nancy side, this teams got a whole lot of work to do but there are flaws in every team in the NFL - see Tennessee and Buffalo - lots of games left and let’s hope we can get Lamar on the healthy side quickly

Looks like we get a chance to watch Mr Huntley today.

I hope Lamar recovers quickly although it would be interesting to see how Huntley plays in the backup role.
