  1. Here's a nice 20 minute video on the Ravens rookies from the Ravens website. It gives you a good introduction to them as we begin to get to know them. After watching this I was pumped up... Ravens Wired: Inside Rookie Camp (baltimoreravens.com)
  2. They have now lost 13 out of their last 15 games. 11 games out. Dead last in the standings. Amazingly, I still want to watch and follow them. Catching a little Bird Fever. Yesterday, Sunday, I get in my car and turn on the radio to hear the O's scored 3 runs in the first. Great! I get to 695 and hear that Harvey is taking the mound. From 695 to Rt29...about 5 minutes...the Nats score 3 runs....from there to Columbia they add another. 4-3 at the end of the 1st. I saw a long day coming yet I watched the game when I got back home. I'm starting to get what the Orioles are trying to do and where there are at this point in their rebuild.
  3. and on and on.... 12 mass shootings this weekend. 10 dead. 70 injured. Weekly Mass Shooting Update: There have been 60 American mass shootings [12 this weekend alone] in the 23 days of May, bringing 2021's total to 229. January: 34 February: 40 March: 45 April: 51 May: 60 You can see the numbers escalating. 12 mass shootings from Long Island to Texas leave 10 people dead and scores injured over weekend
  4. Last year the Ravens offense was 7th in points scored per game. That's with the team being pretty decimated by Covid for 3 games. The defense was #2 in points surrendered at 18.9 per game. The Rams were #1 at 18.5. Very impressive. Other than wins, those are the 2 most important stats in football as far as I'm concerned. Points scored. Points surrendered. And it looks like the Ravens will be fielding a better team this year. With good health and some luck and a passing offense that improves due to the additions at receiver......they could go all the way. There's not a matchup on their schedule that they don't have a chance to win.
  5. Nahhh.......6-1 or 7-0 at the bye.
  6. Here's a top 10 defense ranking. I don't agree with it. The Ravens will face 8 of them counting the Browns and Steelers as 4 games. Ranking NFL's top 10 defenses for 2021: Hail to the Football Team, with Bucs and Browns not far behind (msn.com)
  7. The latest that I'm hearing is that they feed on women.......we might be ok.

  9. I was sitting on my front porch...minding my own business....listening to the sound of the cicadas and I thought that they sounded just like one of those flying saucers in a 1950"s movie. So went to have a close look at one......yea...looks like an alien to you too doesn't it? So I went a little deeper out into my back yard and saw this disturbing one! Hearing a yell, I looked over into my neighbors yard and what do you think I see? Shocking! Naturally, this was very upsetting to my family... Don't let it happen to yours. We best be getting out of here till this dies down.

  11. IEA charts a course.... | %7B Remember When Jennifer Lopez's Go-To Outfit With Ben Affleck Was Low-Rise… %7B Restaurant Owner Faces Backlash Over 'Blame China' For COVID Sign The International Energy Agency, which was founded by rich industrial nations after oil shocks in the 1970s to promote secure and affordable energy supplies, says the world needs to stop drilling for oil and gas right now to prevent a climate catastrophe. %7B© Shutterstock An oil platform off the coast of Santa Barbara, California run by Exxon Mobil produces crude that is converted to gasoline. In order to reach net zero carbon emissions by 2050, the influential group said in a report Tuesday that investment in new fossil fuel supply projects must stop immediately, and no new coal-fired plants should be approved. The dramatic recommendations are part of a detailed strategy that the IEA says would result in the world achieving the Paris climate agreement goal of limiting global warming to 1.5 degrees Celsius above preindustrial levels. Why 1.5 degrees? Experts have repeatedly warned that exceeding the threshold will contribute to more extreme weather, greater sea level rise, wildfires, floods and food shortages for millions of people. To prevent that, the IEA says these milestones must be hit: Immediate stop to new gas and oil projects. No new sales of fossil fuel boilers starting in 2025. Electric vehicles make up more than 60% of car sales by 2030. No sales of new internal combustion engine passenger cars by 2035. The global electricity sector reaches net-zero emissions by 2040. 70% of electricity generation from solar and wind by 2050. There are major economic benefits to be had, according to the IEA. If the world follows the group's roadmap, annual energy investment would surge to $5 trillion by 2030 from $2.3 trillion in recent years, adding 0.4 percentage points to global GDP growth. 12. It's not this one right?
  13. MLB Power Rankings Let's have a moment of silence to remember this. The O's will rise up this ladder and we'll be able to look back and say "I remember when...."....
  14. Sundays win over the Yankees was fun to watch. Even when the Yankees went up 4-0 in the first, I had a feeling the O's would come back. The bats and bull pen won the game. Really needed the great performance by Zimmerman to do it.
  15. Here's more information on new cases....
  16. There was no flu season this year so masks really work. The Yankee staff and Bill Maher thing proves the vaccine works. You can get the virus but won't feel any symptoms. Only 1 member of the Yankees felt any symptoms. This is important: I have little faith in a large minority of people getting the shot. Since so many Americans bought into and believed the Big Lie, I can only conclude that the conscious awareness of a significant portion of the population of citizens is low. This will keep the door open for deadlier variants to come. We'll be wearing masks again. What happened to base your decisions for "the highest good for everyone involved?" It's not about me. It's about us. We are all connected.

  18. Pre Season schedule: The WTF? game has been changed to a 6 pm start.
  19. Hensley says the December schedule is brutal. All Divisional road games are in this month. However......
  20. At the moment, there is serious light at the end of the Covid tunnel. We can see it............ Get vaccinated and feel free....and maskless!
  21. How can people vote for this embarrassing, shit show Circus of Untruth? It boggles my mind. I would be ashamed to admit to my children that I supported this party.
  22. It's an "Iron sharpens Iron" schedule and I love it. Especially a favorable mid season, week 8 bye. They'll need that due to the high level of competition week in and week out. Much of the talk is about the quarterbacks and offenses they will be facing. Well...they will be playing against some very good defenses too. The Rams, Steelers, Dolphins, Colts, Packers and Bears are stingy on points and yards. The Colts and Rams are strong against the rush. 5 Prime Time games = Respect. Fans all over want to see Lamar and the Ravens. They will definitely have to earn their playoff spot. Like all teams, much of that will depend on health. QB health in particular. Nice to have a solid run game with a schedule like this. First glance/little thought/gut feeling Prediction: "I see 11-12 wins for sure."
  23. Love it! 9/13. Monday night. Under the lights. 8:15 pm ESPN and ABC. They should have 4-5 prime time games this year. We'll see after 8 tonight.
