The 14 teams that made the playoffs, think they can do it again and go deeper if they build on what they have. If they shore up their weaknesses. But wait! The problem is "Parity" . You can't keep the roster together long enough to hit perfection. The roster turnovers on all 32 teams is huge every year. The weaknesses and thin layer of talent will always be there. Unless you do well in the draft and are successful in signing a few key, select free agents, then you are doomed to fall out of the "14" playoff teams. The Ravens do very well at this and this is why the Ravens remain competitive. As Ravens fans, we generally are focused on the Ravens...obviously....and at times way too critical (fans right).....yet the key is for they Ravens to maintain their edge on the rest of the pack. They will. It seems that it is time to identify the key core players on this team and how to build upon that. Should we let Eric do that or should we do that for him so he has more family time? For his career, Lamar has a 64% completion percentage, 102.6 rating with 68 TD's and 18 INT's. Here's where it gets real crazy. He's run for 2,906 yards, 6.0 ypc and 19 TD's! He's a great team leader and Catalyzer. Charismatic. Humble. Honest. Hungry and Focused. The Ravens are 30-9 with him as a starter. 30-9 fans. That's a lot of winning football. Exciting football. Any franchise would be fools to part ways with that. He makes Sundays fun. At this point, all he has to do is stay healthy and he's on his way to the Hall of Fame. He's made the playoffs every year. A team has to get there to sniff or talk about winning a Super Bowl. He's 1-3 in the playoffs. This is where the Ravens have to focus on building the 2021 roster and playbook. They have fallen short. What adjustments and additions do they need to get over the top as a team? I'm talking about getting to and winning a Super Bowl. For the moment I'm talking about QB's, but we know that it's a team sport and only a very solid roster will get you there. They won't get over the top with an average QB. Look at who played last weekend in the Divisional Round. Brees, Brady, Rodgers, Allen, Lamar, Mayfield, Mahomes and Goff. It looks more and more that if you want to win a Super Bowl, then you have to have a legit franchise QB. The Ravens have one.

Good stuff. The big question: what will the Ravens do? Lamar has to work on his mechanics and being able to throw anywhere on the field. He needs to pull a "Josh Allen" this off season. Eric has to surround him with talent for a more sophisticated passing attack. John has to bring in coaching help to develop a passing attack. I'm talking about a real precission attack that will consistently burn stacked boxes and stretch the field. Get a genius. Maybe even contact one of us.

I'm into all of this. A lifetime of working and raising children did not leave me enough time to follow politics and events like this very closely. Basically I learned a little bit about the contenders and trusted them to do their jobs and the right thing. I'm learning a lot. I liked that "to form a more perfect Union" was quoted a few times. That implies that we are not perfect and never will be. Nevertheless our challenge is to strive towards perfection. To strive to improve the quality of life and strive to make it better. The issues of today are laid bare before us in the light of day. They can't be denied. Can we, will we, with all out honesty and courage move to eliminate them? Only so much can be legislated. It's up to us, as American citizens, to elevate our thoughts, words and deeds and that is one tall order. Few civilizations have accomplished that. It's something to strive toward. Count me in.

I get it dee. What elation I feel comes from the fact that this is one step closer to a Senate Impeachment of Trump. Change has to start somewhere. It has it's early beginning infant steps. This is one step for Mitch from being a jerk sycophant to the beginning hopefully being a man of principle. Another way to put this is that it's about growth. If you told 10 lies yesterday then try to shoot for 9 today. Ant steps. On another "Gee that's too bad" note: Then there's Trump flying off to "I did it my way". OMG the nightmare is almost over and it's time to take back the flag from all of those who shamed it. It's the 4th of July for me. I'm even putting out the little flags along my walk. It's time to work together to make the image of our flag stand for honor, principles, democracy and hope. This will take some time, as it's been abused and tarnished, yet not as much time as many think. The flag also stands for us as citizens and people of principles. We need to take a good look at ourselves, where we are and how far short that we have fallen from our American ideals and principles. A lot of wrongs have come to light and I hope we don't try to bury them under the rug again. That has never worked. In the dark, these wrongs seethe and grow like cancerous tumors. Let's take the next steps together and raise the vibration and our consciousness. There is a higher good for all wanting to spring forth. And it can if we let go of the old ways of thinking and behaviors that propelled us into this mess. . Let go of all that does not serve and encourage the common good. It's an inside job and journey that I hope we take. Joe is not perfect, yet since election day he has stepped to the forefront to lead, when the President curled up in a ball and went into hiding. Joe's 78. Think of that. You can be sure that he wanted to retire while his health remains. He knows there is a very good chance that this job will kill him and he won't mention that. He's a damn good man and I love what he is attempting to do. He will need the help of all Americans as he faces a mountain of very serious issues. Life threatening issues to our nations future, our future, our children's future and that of this planet. Few men have accepted service to our nation in such dark times with so much at stake. Joe has a vision. Like all visions, they are not perfect at first, yet you hold that vision, build on it, let it evolve and grow. It can. It must.

When you have the #1 rushing attack and teams load the box with 8-9 men, then you should easily be able to make 4, 5 or 6 big plays passing in a game. It's actually an ideal situation. The defenses have to sell out. Expose themselves. I have to think that Wink is part of the problem. There should be a special passing game developed and tirelessly worked on for just this situation. A short passing game that has the potential for chunk yards because a loaded box with a run blitzing defense does not give the QB much time to get rid of the ball. I saw a little of this in the Titans game. The big play was there the whole Bills game. The O line couldn't pass protect yet the box was loaded. The last thing they should've Lamar doing is run or scramble. Dump the ball off quickly to the vacant space left open by a crowded box.

These end of season playoff losses really hurt, yet getting 1 playoff win and having meaningful football in January was very enjoyable. Congratulation to the Bills and their fans. Somehow, the Ravens losing to them takes some of the sting out of it for me. They've suffered for 25 years and are a good strong fan base. The game conditions were the same for the Bills and they earned the win. They made the key plays on a day when their offense struggled like the Ravens offense. They didn't turn the ball over or commit costly penalties. They stayed disciplined and let "the Ravens beat themselves." That's championship football. Who could have foreseen that the Ravens would have held the Bills offense to 10 points and the Ravens would lose the game?
