vmax
He's really worked himself into great shape. It proves he wants it. Jimmy ‘Noticeably’ Leaner, Lost 10 Pounds With Boxing RegimenCornerback Jimmy Smith has lost 10 pounds by taking up a boxing regimen with a trainer in Timonium. Last year he played at 210 pounds, but wants to stay around 200.“Jimmy Smith is noticeably leaner,” Carroll County Times’ Matt Zenitz tweeted. The 6-foot-2 corner told reporters that boxing should help get into optimal shape and improve his health after undergoing sports hernia surgery last season (missed five games) and dealing with back spasms."I feel great, I feel like I did in college," Smith said, per The Baltimore Sun. "I actually did some boxing and trying to get my core strength. My trainers told me to work on that for my back and groin. I'm doing conditioning drills, speed bag, no heavy bag."A defensive back needs quick hands. The groin really hurt my game last year, playing through that all of last season and finally having surgery. Now that's better. I feel 100 percent better."http://www.baltimoreravens.com/news/article-1/Late-For-Work-63-Torrey-Smith-Hits-Home-Run-Performs-Victory-Dance/b57eec33-4877-4317-a431-cc1a6b4560a6 In other news... thundercleetz
Good news. The kid has all of the talent in the world. J Smith responded in a big way down the stretch last season. It speaks volumes of his bright future that he rebounded from a terrible first half of the season. Smith got picked on a lot, lost his starting job, and had to get surgery mid-season. He definitely lost a lot of confidence, but despite that he got on the field and played strong in the playoffs. This could be Jimmy's big year we've been waiting for. Hopefully the weight loss and core work helps increase his durability.
