NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport reported Sunday night that Clay Matthews was diagnosed with a broken thumb following the Green Bay Packers' victory over the Detroit Lions.

A league source now tells ESPN's Adam Schefter that the injury is expected to sideline Matthews forat least one month.

Yea...I heard that today. Even if he wears a cast it will hurt his game.

He could've had a 5 sack day against McKinnie.

Lets hope we don't McKinnie again

I don't think Fat Mac will start another game for us unless it's at another position....

Monroe is taking his spot over starting this week, and Ose will probably be back too so I think Fat Mac rides the bench til trade or season end...

Bulletin Board!!!!!!!!!!!! :cop:

If there's one stretch where the Packers might be able to make-do without Matthews, it's the next four weeks. Three of Green Bay's next four games are against teams ranked 16th or lower in total offense: Baltimore (16th), Cleveland (22) and Minnesota (28). The Packers also have Chicago in that four-game stretch. The Bears have the NFL's eighth-ranked offense.
