Colts coach Chuck Pagano may be reunited with one of his old players on the Ravens today.

Arthur Jones, a Baltimore defensive lineman who played in Pagano’s system when Pagano was the Ravens’ defensive coordinator, could sign with the Colts today on a deal that will pay him $6 million to $7 million a year, according to Aaron Wilson of the Baltimore Sun.

The 6-foot-3, 315-pound Jones is a good fit for what Pagano wants to do defensively and could end up on the same defensive line as Cory Redding, who also followed Pagano from Baltimore to Indianapolis.

Jones is the oldest of three brothers in the athletic Jones family. His youngest brother is Patriots defensive end Chandler Jones, and their middle brother is UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones.

Jones is the No. 30 player in our Free Agent Hot 100.

Arthur Jones is headed to the Colts where he will be reunited with coach Chuck Pagano, who served as his defensive coordinator in Baltimore, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. The deal will average around $6 million per season.

Jones was a fifth-round pick in 2010 out of Syracuse. In 2013, Jones started 13 games and registered 4 sacks. He'll immediately upgrade the Colts' defensive line, which ranked 22nd against the run last season, according to Football Outsiders.

Can't keep them all but I enjoyed watching this guy grow. Too bad we can't keep him

He is going to his former coach so I think he will be fine.

Pags was his DC for 1 yr, and the coach isn't on the field with him, the players are, and you well know that the players around you can make you a better player because of them.....We'll have to wait and see but I have my doubts....Bart Scott went with his old coach too and he's not in football anymore, so no special advantage there....

Pags was his position coach too wasn't he? Also Bart did what Rex needed him to do. He was Rex's right hand man on the field.

Pags was our secondary coach for 3 yrs and DC for 1.....Love the guy, and wish him the best except against us of course.

Bart was never the same player as he was here once he left, but who was ? Saturday, Harrisson and Holmes, the rest were mediocre players after they left.... These were the odd ones....

Do you think he will be as successful there as he was here BG ?.....Usually they aren't !!

That's the history with us. And I think he may have some growing pains if they don't have the same rotation as us to keep him fresh but I actually think Jones is going to pan out there. We let him walk because of the young guys behind him. He's not going to be like the others.

Bart was Rex's brain on the field. For that he was useful. Saturday was a PB in Indy. He never made the roster here. Holmes was top 3 RB in KC.

I think he meant that Saturday, Harrison, and Holmes were the exceptions to the rule about Bmore FA defections. Bart was good in NY but not near what he was in Bmore. He wasn't a failure. But Free Agency doesn't bring SBs. Ravens fans might say they keep us from SBs....see Lee Evans.
