they could trade up for a player who could make an immediate impact in a position of need and still have Mt there for depth on defense

 

not a bad signing and mid 1st rd is a good place to do some deals

Anyone remember our inside line getting gashed by run last season? I don't care if he knows the system or not. Someone will be available in June and someone is certainly better.

Maybe. But only so many draft picks. Every pick used on one position is unavailable for another. And I think it's even more of a stretch to say that we'd find equal value in an unrestricted free agent or undrafted rookie.

The Ravens are one of the best teams for finding quality RFA's. I would look there.

If there's a better option later in down the line, I'm sure we will find it. I think that's why we are holding on to that 6 mil in cap space. A late release or cut here or there and Cody may not make the team.
