thesteelhurtin Posted June 3, 2014 Posted June 3, 2014 The steelers now have 7.8 million in cap space. After they sign their top 4 picks they will have 5.8 million. Now the question is what do they do with it? Do they wait for the end of the preseason or work out extensions or sign some if the high risk high reward free agents that are left. My hope is a little bit of all three or keep some for the regular season or to carry over to next year. I want them to take a shot at Finley. If he is healthy him and miller would make for a nice pairing.
cravnravn Posted June 3, 2014 Posted June 3, 2014 Do you really want to bring in a TE 1 month before the season starts, If Finley was the man he'd need more then a month in a new system. /

Maybe Paulson makes the jump and finally learns how to block but I just don't see that happening. They got that Blanchflower kid from UMass but he is a project at best. Another option would be is to sit on it and hope their is a camp casualty corner but that's rare.
thesteelhurtin Posted June 3, 2014 Author Posted June 3, 2014 You have to keep 2 mil for a season casuality alsoI think they normally keep like 1.5 or so I think last year was when less then that. I do think they are going to bring silverback and the beard back as mentors for this extremely young defense.
