TBird Posted October 10, 2014 Posted October 10, 2014 Indy's D has picked up where it left off with us only much better vs Houston putting much pressure on QB and getting a sack already and leading 17-0 in first 15 mins. This is a good defense and shows how good Indy was which most of us didn't see goinginto the game. Our D looks even better now. Just watch Houston's secondary if you think ours are badand we had Trawick and Miles playing at the same time. We still had a chance to tie it at the end as the D kept us in the game. Tonights gamereinforces what we said about our D. On a side note, John Simon has a sack starting for Houston after they picked him fromthe practice squad. Ravens should be feeling much better about their game, at least the D guys should. Quote
TBird Posted October 10, 2014 Author Posted October 10, 2014 OK, OK - before you say anything, yea, HOuston came back but only after Indy was beating them by like 27 pts.It got close to 33-28 after Indy took off in the 2d half like Ravens did in 3rd qtr in SB 47 and SF came back.Indy didn't let up with us for a minute but in the end with Houston driving they got their pressure back and forcedtwo fumbles on HOuston's last two drives taking over on the 20 to end the game with Luck taking the knee. Indy is still a better team than most of us thought going in and in the first half they had relentless pressure and sackslike vs us. Raves d played good and stayed close despite no offense. Houston had more offense tonight andJJ Watts should be player of the year. Quote
cravnravn Posted October 10, 2014 Posted October 10, 2014 Dude it was 24-0 after one, Houston came back, they put 28 on Indy and still lost, we can't put 14 on Indy. Right now we are in disarray the o can't sustain a drive and the d can't get off the field. Quote

Could be because we don't have the personnel but I sure don't like that style of defense. Quote

Right now we are in disarray the o can't sustain a drive and the d can't get off the field. That's what weve been saying all week. The o didn't show up in Indy butthe D did and made enough plays to win but the O is in disarray. Houstoncame back because Indy let up which they didnt do vs Ravens. Nobody can beat the Ravens by letting up. We lost to Cinci and Indy cause of the O and they never let up for a min vs us and we still couldhave won on paper. Quote
cravnravn Posted October 11, 2014 Posted October 11, 2014 We lost to cinncy on a defensive blunder, the o for as bad as we were week 1 put us in the lead with 5 min left, not having jimmy smith on aj green was what did uus in. Quote
