The only way trading defensive tackle Timmy Jernigan makes sense is if the Ravens are is able to get a second-day draft pick in return for him, and that appears unlikely; or if the Ravens believe the 24-year-old has peaked and might benefit from a change of scenery.

Jernigan is the same player he was in college; dominant when he wants to be. If he is unhappy about the toy in his happy meal, he takes games off.

 

I said it when they drafted him and stick to it now. So if they can unload him for a 4th or 5th round pick they would be foolish to turn it down.

Yeah take what you can get now. You can't give him money long term. He doesn't seem like a guy who will try when he is paid.
