ForceEight Posted December 11, 2010 Posted December 11, 2010 To put it simply: the MIAA (Maryland Interscholastic Athletic Association) has voted to institute a playoff in the A conference (Loyola and Calvert Hall's conference). Both schools are appealing the decision. Supposedly, the "solution" on the table by each school is playing the game on Thanksgiving, as usual, but after the playoffs. Calvert Hall College vs. Loyola Blakefield Calvert Hall College and Loyola Blakefield, two private high schools in Towson, Maryland have an annual football game played on Thanksgiving Day known as the "Turkey Bowl." The 91-year-old tradition is the oldest continuous Catholic prep-school football rivalries in the United States. It is broadcast locally on the local ABC affiliate, WMAR 2. The game is currently held in M&T Bank Stadium, home of the Baltimore Ravens.
