James Hurst dealing with nerve issue in his back; no timeline to return

Hurst told the Baltimore Sun’s Edward Lee, the injury won’t require surgery at this time. But with the injury affecting feeling in Hurst’s calf, it’s something that has to get remedied before he’ll be able to get back into the weight room and on the practice field. Much like quarterback Joe Flacco, Hurst is likely at a stage where he’d have to practice for a bit before Baltimore would contemplate putting him back in the starting lineup.

So if this ends up being perm nerve damage it is another dumb contract (I never liked the signing to begin with) where they will be stuck with all kind of dead money.

It looks like they will finally do a real rebuild. Hopefully they do it right and fix teh foundations of the roster.
