Sources close to the situation have said that both men will probably be asked to step down from their current positions, as early as Monday. The only way anything would happen Sunday night is if one of them forced the issue, a source said.

The Phil Savage era as Browns general manager is over.

Shortly after the Browns completed a 4-12 season with a 31-0 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers, the Browns confirmed Sunday that Savage was fired.

 

Owner Randy Lerner made the decision before the game. A source said the decision was based on problems with Savage's communication and leadership skills.

I think Phil will have a hard time getting the same type of NFL job at this point.

 

I didn't think that Crennel was a good pick to start with, just as bad as Notre Dame.
