He officially took over the 2019 season, meaning he pulled the trigger on the drafts from that time forward. Wanna know why this team fell off of the cliff, while teams like the Rams, cap he'll, keep winning? Look at their drafts, teams are best built by good drafts and development of players. San Fran, LA Rams, Denver, even in Kc and Buffalo, Phili, top dollar qbs, ends, wrs, missed with solid drafts and player development. How has Eric done?

In 2019, only 2 players from that draft actually became decent or better players, 1st round Wr Marquis Brown (traded away) and Justice Hill draft in the 4th.

9 players were drafted by the Ravens that year, only 2 turned out, 1 still on the team.

2020 saw 10 players drafted, only 2 are still on the team, our two big defensive tackles, both on ir, one for the season who may be done for good. Six players drafted in the top 3 rounds, 2 were traded away, 1 as we said may be done, 1, Malik Harrison, was never more than a role player and has been released.

2021 saw 8 draft picks, 2 in round 1, 4 in the top 3 rounds. We have to think someone had to be a hit in those high draft picks, right?

Bateman, Oweh, Cleveland, Stephens.

One traded, one allowed to walk, one always in the doghouse so far away he cant see the field. And one, drafted to be a #1 wr, but barely scrapes by as a number 2.

How about the other 4 players drafted in the 4fh & 5th rounds?

Only 1 remains, Wallace, who is a returning guy, occasionally.

2022 a whopping 11 players drafted who should be ripening this year to blossom, right?

Once again 4 picks in the top 3 rounds including 2 1st round picks, cant miss again, cant they?

Well, Hamilton was a huge hit bought time if ya ask me. Lindy as well, a very good starter at center, waiting on a long term contract.

Travis Jones and excellent 3rd round pick for the defensive line, he stuffs the run in two gaps, collapses the pocket when pass rushing, fantastic big man in the rotation, when he can stay healthy.

Jordan Stout, an okay punter, does have a big leg when he can get a good drop on the ball....

Likely is due for a nice fat contract as the new tight end and Faalele has started at guard the past two years, badly, but hey he starts, that has to count for something right?

Kolar is a good team player, blocks well for a tight end and has dependable hands when he can get open.

The rest, I think are flipping burgers some where...

2023 only 6 picks in this draft, really the two previous drafts, each with 2 1st round picks were the ones that should have provides both plenty of starters TODAY, and solid depth.

Flowers was taken in the 1st, a real nice wr who tries to do too much sometimes.

Tavius Robinson is an excellent rotational big man on the defensive line, everyone expected him to take it to the next level this year, but he struggled so far this year until he broke his foot against the Rams.

Vorhees was taken in the 7th, thought to be a steal because he would miss all of that year recovering from an injury he suffered at the combine. He is starting this year, but so far, has not been the player most envisioned.

2024 9 players drafted, 3 in the top 3. Wiggins so far is proving to be a very good corner. Rosegarden has not taken the next step, yet, in his development, but is an decent right tackle.

Isaac cant seem to stay healthy so there is no good way to determine is he is a good rush end or not. What is the saying, the best ability is availability....

Tez Walker only catches touchdowns, 3 so far. He does flash on special teams but cant Crack the playing time line up on offense. Quite disappointing but some are starting to wonder if he, like Cleveland is being unfairly kept out playing time......

Tampa and Ali are only now starting to get playing time mostly due to injuries & or blow outs....

2025 Had 11 draft picks,3 in the top 3.  While it is for too early to judge it does appear that Starks is as advertised, Loop has done a decent job taking over for Tucker, the rest are barely roll players at best so far.

Yeah, when you look at his drafts together, on paper, wow, he really missed, or these players didn't get good enough coaching. But then, only a couple went on to other teams and are playing well. So did he realkt miss on all of those players?

Is that why this team has fallen and cant get up?

I have issues with him.  But I questions Turdy's outsized influence on personnel.  I have seen to many harbaugh nepo fixer upper picks.  That is all John.  That screams he has huge influence on who is brought in.  The scouts have been undermined.

Everyone thought he would have to he great, learning from Ozzie who drafted Hall of Famer after Hall of Famer.

Problem, scouts leave, a new coach takes over and demands things his way.

A big deal was made about all of the undrafted free agents the Ravens would find and sign, then into solid starters, usually on defense.

But maybe, just maybe we over look all of the draft picks that are missed, giving a need for the undrafted players who maybe, should have been drafted instead of some of the others who were drafted...

Ozzie had fallen off badly in the waning yrs of his tenure.  Savage failed too.  John was hired under Ozzie’s tenure.   I think Eric did learn not to make that big move to go all in.  There has been a lot of nibbling around the edges for yrs.

I agree, Ozzie trailed off like "smoke from a distant fire"... Savage was a bigger loss than I think many realize, but, again, this team was a perenial playoff team for the two years, really the past five with a couple of blips mixed in.

2025?

19 is Eric's forst draft, Ozzie sees his drafts almost pay off with a great season, disappointing post season.

Coach changes on offense, worked out great unless Lamar is hurt. The defense though, went steadily down hill, coach changes there were covered up, first with Ro Smith, his short forst year here after the trade was epic as was the year after, but then.... He helped to cover up the bad defensive calls by the inept coach.

Secondary failed big time, sure it improved a time or two, but injuries there became a running joke for a few years. No depth on the defense, no matter how many secondary players they signed or drafted, it was like putting your finger in a leaking dike.

Same for the defensive line: no depth.Eric failed in his leaps to find an edge rusher, at a bargain price. He was fooled year after year, not by undrafted players, but some were even 1st round picks.

We see the fruition of Eric's drafts today: 1-5

Almost all of the free agent signings were bad, not counting the Henry, or even Ro trades. I love Hopkins and he still has great hands, but really, he can't get open in a timely manner any more.
