ravensflow Posted April 18, 2012 Posted April 18, 2012 Hey guys, I've been working on a site that displays Ravens related tweets and organizes them based on type (i.e. players, writers, bloggers). I have plenty of players and enough bloggers, but I'm struggling with finding enough good quality writers. Do you guys happen to know any good writers I should add? I'm looking for guys that are good at breaking news or getting creditable rumors out. Not looking so much for the guys who like to talk about non-football or their personal life. The only good writers I've found so far are:@jamisonhensley@ravensinsider@dankolko@kvanvalkenburg@baltsunsports@jeffzrebiecsun@mattvensel@baltimoreluke@bretthollander@csnbrent@jen_royle The site can be found here if you want to check it out or see how the writers I have work currently: http://www.nfltweeter.com/ravens I'd appreciate any feedback on the site as well. Any other writers besides the ones I'm using that you guys feels are worth adding? Thanks again! Quote
thundercleetz Posted April 18, 2012 Posted April 18, 2012 Sneaky sneaky sneaky... Adding Jen Royle at the end was a joke, right? You have a lot of the good ones. Aaron Wilson (@ravensinsider) and KVV are the best IMO. @ravens is the official Ravens twitter feed. If you are looking for other good writers in general, Andrew Brandt (@adbrandt) is the president of NFP and former GM of the Packers. NFP is an awesome website in general. Albert Breer (@albertbreer) I like a lot too. Quote
ravensflow Posted April 18, 2012 Author Posted April 18, 2012 Alright, glad to hear I have some good ones in there. The @ravens one I haven't decdied what to do yet. The site splits the tweets among three categories. I use to just go the twitter route but it made it all to messy and hard to sort through. They all give a different inside view. Player vs. Writers vs. Bloggers are all very different looks. Players give an inside look to the organization. Writers are good for rumors/breaking news, and bloggers are good for theory and discussion. I haven't decided yet where to place the @ravens... I was thinking of doing it on the players feed since thats more of an inside the organization look. I also have lawn care guys, PR guys, Execs.. etc in the player feed. Thought @ravens might fit there best. Any thoughts? I have Brandt on my home page. The home page has a general "Trending" feed where its general NFL news. I just added Breer there, he looks good. Thanks for that. Quote

ravensflow Posted April 19, 2012 Author Posted April 19, 2012 I like Eisenberg ["]http://www.csnbaltim...ltimore-ravens] and Kevin Byrne from the Ravens site. Thank you! Added Eisenberg. I wasn't able to find Byrne's twitter account. Sometimes these guys come up easy, others you can't even find from a google search. I found quite a few Kevin Byrne's non seem to be him though. Quote

The home page has a general "Trending" section. The idea is you can see the main general NFL beat writers and catch what the current trending or hot topic is. Since he covers a lot of the overall NFL I put him in there. Thanks for the recommendation though. Quote
