Spen Posted November 21, 2008 Posted November 21, 2008 It's true! An Arrested Development movie will happen. Reliable inside sources confirm to me that producers Mitch Hurwitz and Ron Howard have signed deals to do an Arrested movie with Imagine and Fox Searchlight. Sources tell me exclusively that the major motion picture is budgeted at $15 million. (Translation: It will be awesome.) "Yes, it's a go," an Arrested castmember who asked not to be named tells me. "We're all very excited. And it will happen with or without the holdout." Read more:
Spen Posted November 21, 2008 Author Posted November 21, 2008 I think the holdout is Michael Cera, he has not been thrilled about the idea before. Oh well, I guess George Michael is off to boarding school.
ForceEight Posted November 21, 2008 Posted November 21, 2008 I think the holdout is Michael Cera, he has not been thrilled about the idea before. Oh well, I guess George Michael is off to boarding school. I was just coming to post that, because I read the same thing a few places. Totally killed my Juno buzz. Damn kid.
DarthSizzle Posted November 22, 2008 Posted November 22, 2008 Michael Cera will neither be seen nor heard in the movie. He will be at the Millford School.
DarthSizzle Posted November 22, 2008 Posted November 22, 2008 Well he does have a finely tuned internal clock, that's why he is such a good percussionist. I watch the show too much!
Spen Posted February 24, 2009 Author Posted February 24, 2009 Cera has apparently agreed to be in the movie.
Spen Posted October 3, 2011 Author Posted October 3, 2011 There was a reunion of the cast and crew of Arrested Development over the weekend and they announced that there was probably going to be 9 or 10 new episodes of the series then a movie. That was a very pleasant surprise.
