dapetes Posted September 15, 2009 Posted September 15, 2009 The reason I bring it up is, have any players on it make it to the Ravens during the season their on the squad? Eron Riley showed some promise and heart in the preseason session. He may be a guy to bring up this season.
papasmurfbell Posted September 15, 2009 Posted September 15, 2009 I think a couple over the yrs have made it becuase someone in the 53 man roster went down and they pulled them up. I cannot think of a time when a guy was brought up and was an onfield contributor.
thundercleetz Posted September 17, 2009 Posted September 17, 2009 Riley was extremely raw. Let him develop on the practice squad this year and spend a year in an NFL conditioning program. As bad as Justin Harper's hands were, the improvement he made from last year to this year was incredible. He couldn't catch the ball, but he was always open. Riley has similar tools, and provided he works hard, should see a great jump in his game come next training camp. Like Harbaugh says, the greatest improvement a player sees in his career is usually from year one to year two. In other words, I would not expect much out of Riley this season, but next season he could push for some PT.
