RavensFanNC Posted September 27, 2009 Posted September 27, 2009 I was bored, and I sorted the Offensive stats, and found that we are in the top 5 in some of the most important categories. 2nd -- Points scored (69)2nd -- Points per game (34.5)1st -- Plays from scrimmage (145)3rd -- Yards per game (406)1st -- First Downs per game (27)4th -- Third Down percentage (50%)3rd -- Time of possession (34:15) Not too shabby. edit: We also are #2 in TD's scored with 9...4 rushing and 5 receiving. vmax Posted September 27, 2009 Posted September 27, 2009 Yea...not too shabby RavensFanNC.Let's keep it up! I read this and still it's not sinking in...our Ravens???! It starts with the O line...they give Joe time to throw and they do the road grading.Flacco is reading the defenses and the field very well...because he's worked so hard. What an arm!I like how he's become more aggressive....more confident...and serious...serious about getting 7's. The 3 headed monster is healthy and peaking. Derrick is serious about going all the way and works his butt off. Heap's back...Washington is the surprise player this year. Then there's Cam...wow! Quote

cravnravn Posted September 27, 2009 Posted September 27, 2009 Dont look at the D stats, it looks like our O-Stats from the past decade. WE need balance.. Quote
geo Posted September 27, 2009 Posted September 27, 2009 And Broncos defense is number two and our defense is number 20. If we are a top 10-12 offense when the season ends I am glad. No doubt Flacco is better, no doubt the OL is better.. So if they are healthy this season we will be better on offense this year. No doubt the RBs is just as good and they migth get some better stats this year because of Flacco and the OL, Heap is better (or is he? benefitting from a better OL and Joe), but our WRs.. same thing, because Flacco and the OL is better they probably will get some better numbers. We have been playing the AFC West. Even Browns and Bengals migth have been better on defense last year. We had also pretty good games on offense last year, if you look at the numbers of our two last games of the regular season last year, we would have been a number one offense, however if you take our two latest playoff games we would probably end last. Defense in yards and score in 2008. And not much have changed in 2009. Hmm Except for Ravens and Broncos. Anyway it will surprise me big time if our defense is not better ranked than them when we meet them, or at least when the season ends. Ravens 2-3 Bengals 12-19Browns 26-16 Bolts 25-15Raiders 27-24Broncos 29-30Chiefs 31-29 Quote
