Now run the dag gone ball, 2 carries by Dobbins, 16 yards, keep it going
-
Nice job scrambling and keeping your eyes down field, and Sammy turning up field for 40 yards. Then Roman jokes, calls a tight end screen, same one Huntley over threw a series earlier but to the opposite side. That too was well covered, they should have pump faked that and had Sammy go into the endzone, easy score if they had..
-
Oh my gosh, he had Andrews wide open for 7, take the hit Tucker time....
-
He doesn't have much more than Huntley. Neither is more than a game or three back up in this league.
-
They would need the Phins or the Pats to lose
-
Ho-Ho-Ho the Falcons are just the present the Ravens need to bring joy to all of the Ravens' fan girls and boys.

When a player is wide open, the qb has time, and the pass is: 1)in the dirt 2)behind him 3) is so far above them they have to get a 20 foot extension ladder out to get a few fingers tips on, that is on the qb if the pass is not caught. Don't get me wrong, there have been many real drops, but not as many as a lot of the don't blame Lamar camp would have people believe. Are these the best wide outs? No But do you or these YouTube heroes, know the timing of said routes? Let us start there. A 3 step drop is for timing, a quick, short pass, in the flat, an out, an in, a comeback. A slant, a slot or tightend option route at the level of the linebackers. A 5 step drop can also be a timing route, a comeback, a square out, (I'm showing my age), or in, a shallow cross, behind the backers, or a back shoulder throw down the sidelines. A 7 step drop is for deep patterns, both inside and outside the numbers, a ton of route combinations too many to mention. If a qb takes a 3 step drop when it should be a five step, and has Noone open, whose fault is it for him being sacked, have to wait, running? Certainly not the wide out. Same for 5 & 7 steps. There is a reason for 3, 5,7 step drops, it gives the receivers time to get to the top of their routes, the qb time to determine post snap if it matches up with what he read presnap. Some of the problems have not been because of the skill level of the wide outs. It has been because the qb, Lamar, Huntley, have taken an improper drop. It doesn't matter if it was from under center nor in shot gun, the steps, the pat on the ball, matter immensely. But you won't hear the pundits crying how bad the receivers are telling you about how bad Lamar's steps are on each pass play. Yes, a lot of the issues are because of Roman and his route combinations, some on the receivers ability to run those routes. Some on the drops, but a large portion is on Lamar, his inaccuracy this year, last year, and his timing on the drops. Yes, you can take the 3, 5, 7, steps too slow or too quickly, as well as taking the wrong number.

Again, one says drops, another, very difficult catch because of an inaccurate pass. Should be caught? Okay, they are pros, but a properly thrown pass will be caught Oh and yes I will gladly sit down with that YouTube and discuss this over film, I bet he either changes his tune or kicks me off his "show"

In the R U Kidding me department They claimed Watkins on waivers today, Duv hurt his foot in practice... wow, really, Watkins is the answer for Duv? I feel bad for Sammy, how I love ya, how I love my dear OLD Sammy... but he is always injured, can't run faster than a tortoise going up an icy hill...smh

Ye being negative -
Ah, never heard of him, but then I don't listen to talk radio any more, no do I view the pod casts. I only found the YouTube by searching for the story about the note. Still trying to figure out how a fan could have gotten in there long enough to litter those notes. Seems fishy to me, maybe Lamar, who didn't travel with the team, left those notes

Bills, Chiefs, Dolphins, Bengals. Ravens, Ingles, 9ers, Cowboys, Chargers is as far as I'll go -
Boy if ever there was a get right game, this one is it for the offense. The Falcons are bad in every way, time to break out of this mud bank the offense has been stuck in, flex those muscles. We all they are there, we saw flashes of it this year, remember, one must only remember. If the offense doesn't take off this week, no matter who is under center, then just fire every coach right after the game, go get Harrel from Purdue before the ink dries on his new contract. Let Peters and the Big Guy rest, a rookie qb and average wide outs with a bad offensive line means the replacements can get some work. Maybe even that high draft prospect coming off of an injury, the one who did very little in college... cough cough

Interesting, the media has not mentioned it, nor the team, yet. I wonder if they sweep this under the rug, let it die sow

Is Zay Jones one of the best receivers in the league? No, but he produces, makes the tough catch when in tight man, gets open deep because of the route combinations of the other receivers. His qb also has the touch and accuracy to place the ball, down field outside the numbers, to put the ball where it is easier to catch. Lawrence does this often enough that Jones knows where the ball will be. Lamar, has not done this consistently, shoot, even on easy throws over the middle, he routinely throws it just behind, or in the dirt, leaving no chance for yards after catch, routinely. Our receivers, on par with Jones, have to make diving catches, adjust at full speed to an off target throw. Should they catch some of these? Sure, they are professional after all. They did in college, but that too was muscle memory based on doing it over and over in practice. They "knew" where the ball would be. Lamar, amongst the top qbs, is far below in making that throw, down field outside the numbers. Shoot, he is way down on attempts, why? Not because of pocket pressure or that the play had not been called. No, but because he chose not to make those throws. In tight man, Lamar struggles because he doesn't trust, either him self, or his receivers. We've seen Andrews make those tight catches, even Duv, Likely, etc from time to time. But nothing consistent, in the NFL, open is a half step, not wide open. We never see back shoulder throws, the hardest to throw but also impossible to defend. The only time we see it is when the other team's quarterback throws it, yeah, a pizza delivery quarterback just called up from their practice squad, but not our $300 million guaranteed quarterback. Sorry for the long post, but it is time to get down and dirty. History says that out of 10 quarterbacks in the draft, only 3 will turn out, and that is in a proverbial good year. Who are those players? Are they first rounders or 4th? We need a quarterback who can help these receivers be their best. What, you think 20 years of not finding good receivers is just bad luck? Bad coaching every year even with the turnover in position coaches? I say no, who have been the quarterbacks? Get someone who has shown they can make all of the throws. It is not often a quarterback comes to the NFL, then learns how to make those throws consistently, Josh Allen's are rare. You either are accurate or you never will be, you either have the brain to read defenses, or you don't. So far, Lamar has not shown that he can, nor that despite working with a qb guru, his accuracy is improving. /rant

Bo Nix is staying in school, great year, he should have been one of the finalist for the Heisman. But be leary of pack 12 qbs, he is only really good against those teams. Duggan is a gamer for sure, but not sure about his pro game. Lamar has lost a step, his quickness, it could be related to his hip injury, which did or did not happen because of a hit on the field. It appears to have happened on his flip into the endzone or possibly in his pick up game of football on the beach. Which is just more fuel to his lack of responsibility to the team. Maybe part of the hold up on his contract is due to language in the contract limiting what he can do off the field....
-
Look at the stats Justin Fields and Jalen Hurts are putting up. Two qbs similar in style as Lamar. Both dangerous rushers, Hurts a better passer, defenses know to keep an eye on them but they still run wild. Not Lamar any more, why? Not the offense, more so the passing threat. Teams are still playing man against them, so running is easier, and they are not trying to prove that they are pocket passers. My pt, a lot of Lamar's issues are in his head, he tries to stay in the pocket too long, hesitates to run too much, so when he does, a five yard gain at best. All three teams now run a similar offense as ours, save for better pass combinations....
-
Oh please no, he will get eaten up in the NFL with his size. There are far better options, I am sick and tired of Bama players on this team who usually end up busts
-
Lawrence is impressive, another game with a team coming from way back... that vikes game was epic
-
Hey, if they can trade Lamar to a team in the top five draft slot, they might get their choice of qbs in this draft...

I just posted it to back up the Bowser story.
