The issue was they kept Ben to long.  They kept talented but problematic wrs to prop up loser qbs.

They drafted Mason Rudolph in the 3rd to replace Ben, claimed him to be the one... oops

They drafted Kenny Picket in the 1st, claiming he to be the one, oops

    Both, with Tomlin's approval

Oh and I lost all respect for Tomlin when he stepped onto the field to slow down Jacoby Jones, then acted as if it was an accident

A bad gm and being to loyal to Ben put them in that spot.  Remember that ol where vinisuelia was a turnstile and the rest of the ol was not much better over there.  The gm made that.  There were a lot of draft misses for a long time over there.  None of that is on Tomlin.  But taking an on paper 4-5 win team and getting 8 or 9 wins is him.  They had no business being a double digit win team this yr.  They should not have made the playoffs.

Not so fast my friend. Tomlin is not the type of coach to sit in a corner and just take what is given him. I am sure they all, Tomlin included said, yes, Mike can help Antonio Brown be a productive Steeler; opps.

They may have even said, let us try one more with Mike Wallace, ooops.

Did they stop drafting troubled receivers, thinking Tomlin could help them? No, they stiill have done it.

This is just proof that while he is a very good coach who knows how to win games against bad teams, he has not, NOT won anything with the teams he has been a part of drafting.

His Super Bowl win, a controversial win I might add, was done largely with players drafted & signed as free agents, before he was hired.

Andy Read was just like him when Reid was in Phili, 1 Super Bowl appearance, the rest one or two & done.

Then he goes to Kc, they get fortunate and have a chance to draft Mahomes. A qb who can run the same offense, Phili ran under Reid; eureka!

    Yes, Ill take Harbs

  3. I chose Elway because he can run. But you get my point, some of the greats struggle in the post season.

To get to the Super Bowl takes many things more than talent, injuries play a roll, the bounce of the ball.

Should we destroy Jim Kelly because no team has gone to 4 straight Super Bowls without winning?

Oh wait, his kicker went wide a couple of times. Kelly didn't play that well a time or two either.

Yet he is a Hall of famer. Same for Marino, it is a team game.

  4. For his post season play, and yes, there is evidence to support them.

8 games, two turnovers in 4 of them, and loses because of them, largely.

However, a Hall of Fame quarterback, one many consider one of the best ever, had a very similar start.

I give you, and no, stop it, don't insult our intelligence by suggesting I am saying Lamar is as good, I am not, just trying to show that early on, yes, some great do struggle. So I give you

John Elway in the post season

Elway played in 22 postseason games with the Broncos, 21 as a starter, and led the team to victory in 14 of them. In those games he threw for 4,964 yards and 27 touchdowns, with 21 interceptions, while also rushing for 461 yards and 6 more scores

So, given how well Lamar played in the 2nd half, i would say give him a break

  5. Tomlin has been a part of the process that has not been able to find a qb, has drafted problem receivers they have traded away each year for the past umpteenth years.

    Yes, sure, okay

  6. You should check out the Jason Garret YouTube show for NFL films on the evolution of throwing. It is fantastic and Fields could benefit from it.

He also has to learn how to read defenses post snap, like Wilson, take away his first read, he panicks. His saving grace is he can run, Wilson can't any longer

  7. Wilson is done as a Steeler, may be done in the league. The blue print to stop him is out.

They will go with Fields as many talking heads have said, their best chance right now.

  8. Your defense gets you 3 turnovers, 1 of them taken to the redzone, the other to mid field. Yet you only score 27 pts amd win by 2 pts.

All season long his defense has gotten turnovers, near the top of the league. Not so for Lamar who led the league in 90+ yard scoring drives, touchdown drives. This, by a large margin.

Yes, Josh is the mvp, but Lamar should be. The opposite of last year.

  9. He did, how many yards  did he throw for? 1 yard touchdown runs, big deal. Shut down in the 2nd half and almost blew an 11 pt lead in the 2nd half.

If not for his defense punching a ball out, he loses.

Yeah, Lamar had 2 turnovers, one hurt, the other not so much.

But Josh did not out play Lamar, Lamar never gave up and made some great plays that kept this team in it, even with 3 turnovers by the team

  10. You do know the qbs and teams in the Harbs era, Brady, Manning, Roethleburger, etc.

Not an excuse, evidence of some great teams during his tenure.

Wins on the road are tough, you know that, you are being facetious, also finding a qb, a qb who can be the franchise is not easy. He, the team with him, found two in Flacco and Lamar.

The team failed Flacco by not building the line, finding difference makers at wide out, save for one magical season.

So what did they do? Draft Jackson and build and offense around him. That was Harbs

  11. Man, we saw just how good this team really could have been.

400+ yards of offense, quick, long strikes, 176 rushing, 240 yards passing, NO Punts.

We also saw how bad they are in big moments, dropped passes for 1st downs, missed blocks, dropped 2 pt conversions, turnovers, turnover, turnovers.

Take just one away this game is not close. But Lamar tosses a pick, then, on what was likely the most important drive of the game, a 90+ yard drive that was gashing the Bills defense on the ground, yeah, like Romo said could NOT be done, Lamar is loose with the ball and fumbles.

Oh wait, he is not alone. They dig them selves out of the whole, the defense shows up in 2nd half, and when they have the chance to drive and are driving for a lead! The 2nd most important drive of the game, Andrews fumbles. Yes that Andrews who dropped a game tying 2 pt conversion.

We had them, but gave it to them. We needed to put it to them, not hand it to them.

  12. 3rd and 5, 1:13

    Ravens out of timeouts

    Should be offensive pi

But they call it on defense, White

First and and 10 from the 12

    Run right for 4

    2ns and 6

    Qb draw gets 4

    3rd and 2

They score a touchdown it will be over, timeout Bills 20 seconds

    Qb Run scores easily
