  1. He was a great character, not a bad way to go, whilst one sleeps...
  2. The Goose is cooked! Too soon? Man oh man
  3. Wow, such a shame.
  4. He has settled all but 4 lawsuits against him ESPN: Attorney Tony Buzbee says 20 of 24 lawsuits filed against Cleveland Browns QB Deshaun Watson settled. https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/34125535/attorney-tony-buzbee-says-20-24-lawsuits-filed-cleveland-browns-qb-deshaun-watson-settled
  5. The league is "considering" a year suspension for Watson, with hopes it will be an 8-10 game suspension after the appeal. He has already sat out a year, does that count? https://nypost.com/2022/06/17/deshaun-watson-probably-facing-one-year-ban-from-nfl/
  6. Namath is proof that the HOF (for all sports) is a joke. Lamar has proved that he can play well in the regular season but falters in the playoffs. He has shown accuracy in the middle of the field, 15 -20 yards, but not deep and certainly not along the sidelines. Those who are honest about evaluating see this and say this. It is not hating on him. The majority of these talking heads are only blowing sunshine because it sells, because they want to get the next interview. The only time they are critical of players is when those players screw up or are obviously not very good.
  7. Get is shape? He should be in great shape, you can work out other ways even with a bum wheel...
  8. Not sure I agree with Proche, which media is killing Lamar? Facts are facts; he has not been able to complete a high percentage of passes outside the numbers nor down field. What is it with players of today? If you don't just talk about the good play, you are a barbarian.....
  9. Yes, we are still waiting for the NFL to make a decision, it would be unbelievable except this is the NFL after all. The NFLPA has decided to pipe up, chime in. I can understand their point, at first read I even sort of kind of agrees with them, especially on the Kraft point, very similar circumstances. However, while Kraft likely used women who were forced into this line of work, and likely paid much more money, these are very different at the very heart. Kraft was guilty of breaking the personal conduct policy. So too is Watson. But it ends there. Sure, no criminal charges, but 29 women, at least a few of them are telling the truth, state that he forced them into having sex with him or at the very least, exposed him self, unwantingly for the women. Yes, just as there are degrees of "crime", there are degrees for the personal conduct policy with Kraft, Snyder, Jones at one end, Watson at the other end. https://nypost.com/2022/06/16/nflpa-preparing-aggressive-defense-for-deshaun-watson/
  10. Well, Williams was limited, coach says nothing serious. Guess he will be out for a few years..mm
  11. This offense has never, as a franchise, been able to run a screen. Some of that is on the game day play calling/timing. Some is on the coaching practices.. Weird, no matter the coach, like trying to develope a wide out, it eludes us.. The only thing that matters is do they come out injury free... Jefferson getting two picks is just comic relief...
  12. Not really, he only played one season. I love his attitude, his leadership may be missed a bit, but his age and injury do not make for a reliable player.
  13. I don't understand a lot of their moves lately, no real address to the middle backer, nor edge rusher. They draft an undersized injured player with limited experience....
  14. Yeah, a guy coming off of an injury backing up a guy coming off of an injury; not exactly a confidence boost is it....
  15. They gained a lot of depth due to injury last year, IF, they can stay relatively healthy, this team, this defense could be, should be top 8.
  16. https://www.baltimoreravens.com/news/mike-macdonald-ravens-secondary-versatility-huge-advantage While that was largely on the secondary, and the new additions should help..... Some of that was on the lack of pressure on the qb, even an inability to get the qb down in a timely manner, letting him run around for "ever". Time will tell how well the new coach, new players will help with new schemes, I am intrigued...
  17. Brad Jackson, what a joke he was, he used to post on Ravens Insider as Westside Oz.....
  18. Not all players are willing to give up, willing to see that they have, lost a step or two. Better to go out early than to stay longer and hurt the team later. Cap issues, maybe he hits a wall in week 17 costing the team a game, who knows...
  19. Meh, it's a volunteer camp for a few days of Circle jerks... He has been to every camp up till now, so maybe missing this one, working on his rap skills, fixing his menu for the restaurant will help him focus later in the season when pressure really mounts. It's not as if there are new weapons to work with...
  20. Even if it went down that way, so what? It is a smart business, team decision. Saves a ton of cap space, brings a fresh leg, one of the best in college, and now allows Sam to teach him the how to get the most out of punts, how to male different punts. It's a win- win
  21. The fact that he is a coach now speaks volumes; yes
  22. Kyle Fuller in the house! Great signing, a little later in his career than I wanted, but he should help stabilize the secondary
  23. Toxicology is out, he was legally drunk and tested positive for "drugs used as anesthetics..." Shoot, he may not have known he was on planet earth, let alone a highway
  24. He decided, if you watched closely last season he lost some height and distance on his punts, consistently speaking. Good for him, good for the team, if they put punters in the hall, he would be a shoe in, punter intended.... More.proof that it was a mutual decision, he is now on the coaching staff...
  25. With Andrews they really don't need a deep threat. With the proper route combinations and Lamar reading properly, they can run clear out routes to open things up for Bateman to work underneath in the middle.
