  1. & a 1 pm start time, tough for a West Coast team not named Seattle...
  2. This team will face the best front four in the league. Okay, it's a test for the offense. Their secondary is very good as well.... So were the Rams, the SeaHawks, the Pats and even the Texans... This offense is prepared. The SanFran offense is pedestrian, simple, their qb is good inside the pocket at moving, but he is prone to picks, fumbles, incompletions under pressure. The Ravens defense is great at putting on pressure, ask Brady, Watson, Wilson, and now Goff.... The secondary is healthy, full, working well together. If not for this incredible 7 game winning streak, I would say this will be another slobber knocker, 8 is hard to win in a row in this league. But then, this team is clearly on an unexpected journey....
  3. It was good to see Snead get 2 tds, he so deserves them..
  4. The Ravens are scoring on 56% of their drives, the highest rate in 80 years! According to Elias sports...
  5. Skurah out likely for the year but the line did not miss a beat with an undrafted free agent center; EDC the gey! Injuries & arrogance are the kryptonite for this team....Rock On!
  6. This is absolutely amazing. Ive seen it with Vick to some extent but not when paired with this defense. He makes it look so easy, and that was a giod defense out there he lead 6 straight TOUCHDOWN DRIVES against.... Whoop whoop!
  7. Iccarus my sons you have done so well, taking to flight better than the birds of air. Keep soaring on the winds, use the heat waves to lift you high, the air currents to guide your way. Remember though, don't go so high that you burn your wings off my sons.
  8. Our warriors faught hard they stayed in the light. They used it as power, to fuel their fight. When it was over there was no doubt, they all rejoiced with a thunderous shout; "Victory is ours, we bested our foe! We want the world to know, that we have traveled so far but have just started our journey. We shall remain strong and show the world our fury!" NINE AND TWO! 9-2 no one could have though, what a great unexpected journey!
  9. Interesting, he worked a bit with Reid and Peterson for a cup of coffe and coffee cake with Vick. I'm not sure he is ready to take over this offense that is still learning and growing....
  10. 'Tis the dawning of a new day, a bigger battle is on the horizon. Our lads have taken the long journey, now they rest and wait to unleash their fury. They will need a heart stirring message to light their fires, so that they can take what their enemy has and break it, break their enemy in its own territory. Arise now warriors from Baltimore! Dire deeds awake! Dark is the westward journey! Let horse be bridled, horn be sounded! Forth, Eorglingas! Arise warriors of Baltimore, Arise take flight! Forward now men to glorious battle! Fell deeds awake; fire & slaughter! Spears shall be shaken, sheilds shall be splintered! A sword a day, a purple and black day! Ere the sun arises and at sun set; Ride now ride! For the glory of Baltimore!
  11. Look to Oregon for their offensive coordinator, though Lincoln Riley would be my 1st choice, not that he would come to the NFL for anything less than a head coach job, which I don't think he is ready...
  12. Brent Urban, Chris Urban, surely not Myer, Urban, the man can't take a leak without deciding he has to move on....
  13. Ok, yall have given me hope (false?) Ravens in another slobber knocker, 44-17.
  14. Garret has been upheld for indefinite suspension, Pouncy reduced to 2 games, per Espn
  15. That's the right question.... I hope not... The real issues are further down the line. Speaking of lines, how much are the two tackles going to want, Staley and Brown, to remain here? How much is Andrews going to want to stay here? How much is Lamar going to want to stay here? How do you fit all of them under the cap? So the real question is, with all the other qbs in the league gettting well over $100 Mil, most of it guaranteed, plus the average cost of a left tackle going so high, along with guards & centers, will the owners finally make the cap different by having one exclusion player from the cap? These, in my opinion, are more pressing questions than a coach... Aside from that, this year or next, who cares, we are 8-2, 10 wins is very likely, the most important is how many will they end up with? 10 wins this year with this young team is a dream, so we know we have a window of at least 2 more years with this group... Maybe a Super Bowl, another record to fall as no running qb has won one yet. Also of note, no team has won the Super Bowl with a top 5 scoring offense & top 5 defense, as of a few years ago. Things may have changed since I was a stat maniac....
  16. Long trip, coming off of a huge blow out win, a six game winning streak, every media source singing their praises, a Monday night game... What's that smell? A stinker.... Every team has one or two per season, even the great teams, the all time great qb's.... They should dominate this team on paper. The Rams offensive line is terrible. Goff can't throw when he is under pressure. Sure, he moves ok in the pocket, but once he starts to get hit he hears footsteps and like Watson, you can get in his head. Their receivers are not great, Cupp is the one to watch. Their defense is legit, but they can be run on, they take plays off up front so big plays can happen. With that said, this team is not going to win out to the super bowl, they will drop a game or two along the way. I think this is one of those games. Too big of a trap.
  17. It's a nice mix of challanges the defense has faced. Accurate pocket passers, good offensive lines, mobile, accurate passers, running accurate passers. They seemed to learn from their mistakes of rushing the passer, not getting pushed together in their rush lanes, watching their rush depth. Sure, coverage on the back end is better, but watch how the line rushes now. A great change; can they keep it up? Offense, changes every game; that's great. They go with what is working, either long drives with running or sit back & pass their way down field. But can they keep it up? 8-2, it's been fun, one game at a time... Long trip this week against a pretty good defense but their offensive line stinks....
  18. Good to see you Mad, the ring would be great, I am happy with growth. I was figurring on 8-8, 9-7 this year, so 8-2 now, the rest is gravy on my taters with some corn mixed in for the rest of the way. Healthy & growth for Lamar & the receivers....
  19. Yep , Brown has showed strong hands, but has he used his speed or quickness to get open? He rarely practices because of injuries..... He easily gets bumped off his route, but only the all 22 will show if he is getting open and Lamar is just not seeing him...
  20. If he can stay healthy.. Boykin has been as you & I talked about shortly after he was drafted; over rated.. I hope he can improve...
  21. 2 more horses have died this week, at the Del-Mar track, 4 since Nov 6th. Now were I a conspiracy nut, I would say this was purposely a done to detract from that horrible Santa Rosa track. As I said in my other post, Del -Mar is suppose to be the safest track....hmmm

  23. If they can only get the wide outs to break free, oh man....
  24. Sauron, lord of Mordor, tried his best to distract our clan of misfits. But they stayed grounded and steady, then thry took flight. They took all of their enemy's fight, in the end, Sauron's army had nothing left but to lick their ,wounds, collect their wounded and slink back to whence they came. Now the challenge really begins for our warriors. Sauron will use all at his disposal to distract our clan, to steal their hearts desire. Can they fight off their conceit, their thirst for personal glory? Keep the dreams of their clan, at reach? Will their glory take them over or will they build on it, let it fuel them for the battles with Sauron's armies that lie in wait for them? There is a long, tiring journey ahead, now that their skill with blade & bow is know, they will get their foe's best. Sauron will tell the caln to celebrate their win, all while trying to get under their skin. He wants them to think that they cannot be beat, so that later he can pull the rug from under their feet. You see Sauron wants them to think of them selves, the same way that he deceived the woodland elves. But if our clan can stay focussed on task, when the war is over, they will be raising a glass.
