  1. Here we go, another divisional rival game, one team on the rise, the other falling faster than a turkey this time of year. Winston will get the start for the Browns after Watson tore his Achilles and is lost for at least the rest of this season. While the Browns have been down, they still have a very good defense and some weapons on offense. Both sides of the ball could give the Ravens trouble. This has all of the makings of a trap game. These two teams know each other, the one who stays focussed, determined, disciplined, will win the game. On paper the Ravens should win this one handedly, but the game is played on grass. The theme for the Ravens this year is stack. Stack plays, stack games, build for the future. Baltimore is riding a 5 game win streak, will it end or become 6? Who ya got?
  2. Too high a price for him. He is very good, but not worth that price. I've read Adarius Smith is peaking the Ravens interest. Not sure if the Browns will trade with the Ravens, nor how much he has left in the tank, but if the price is right, he is an upgrade over Owe and Ojabo. He would be a good compliment to go with Ngakoue & VanNoy, sorta like Clowne last year.
  3. And cheaply too... if not for his performance, maybe the Ravens make the trade for often injured Cooper Kupp,, who can be had on the cheap. I would not want him here, too many injuries..
  4. That was Lamar, still learning the offense, trying to do too much as he transitioned to a more pocket passer. Bateman, pressing to return too quickly, had a few drops causing Lamar, my guess, to lose confidence in him. This year, clearly Lamar has all but mastered this offense, and getting work in with Bateman, they have developed a very good relationship, proof, that roll right heave to Bateman who was triple covered. Bateman made the adjustment to come back for the ball. A huge play in the scheme of the game and in their development.
  5. Yes, my fear exactly, as we talked about in the Pees thread, if Orr has been leaning on him all season, he, from the start, then maybe he, Pees is the reason for thos defensive failure. Granted, they have runs in games where they shut teams down, but, the 4th quarter collapses are very real, very big. The end of half's are as well. If a team has the ball with 2 mins left in the first half, we can pretty guarantee that they will score before half. Todd has done a marvelous job helping Lamar and calling plays, his combinations, usage of not 1, not 2 but all 3 tight ends along with the talents at wide out. Henry is piling up yards but not carries, doing what Harbs said he wanted, less than 25 carries per game. I'm not sure it is conditioning with the defense, they have a very good, deep defensive line rotation. But more so the philosophy, bend, don't break, make a stop somewhere. Pees was well hated for his late game defense, prevent a victory, play deep, rally to the ball. It cost this franchise many games. If they can't be more consistent and get away from that, they will not beat Kc.
  6. Best of Ed Reed mic'd up Great, the 1st player in league history to return a fumble, a punt, a blocked punt and an interception for a touchdown https://youtu.be/o6ninp14kQs?si=eBO48k8QoTExunKq
  7. To be fair, he had a lis frac injury, that is a two year recoup for a receiver especially one as shifty as he. So he missed a lot of time with Lamar. Now that he is fully healthy, we are seeing the rewards.
  8. 2 punts, 6 straight scoring drives. All the while the defense kept the Bucs from scoring 6 straight times, twice with a turnover. I'll give the defense a little credit, 7 of the 31 were not on them, that fumble by Flowers on the bad pass that was returned and no one could tackle the guy
  9. Welp, stack, stack, stack
  10. I'm sure the league is not happy about a flag fest, watching the game now, 3 straight plays of penalties, 2 holdings, 1 offensive pass interference, 8 total for the game. 9 for Tampa, so at least they were consistent. Tucker with another convincing 52 yard field goal. 3rd and 26, 2nd and 17, 3rd and goal from the 40, yes, they overcame them. But between the defense and the penalties, let's get this cleaned up, this offense is too incredible to waste. Best offense for the Ravens, ever. Even better than the 2019, better than the Vinnie/Byner/Jackson/Alexander
  11. I went to bed after the 1st quarter, Tampa looked much faster, more prepared. Shoot, even Mike Evans on a bad hammy scored. But it was his only catch. The line could not block a blade of grass... Then I awake to this? The line did it's job once again, the D clamped down, for a quarter at least. Lamar, 17 of 22! 5 touchdowns! Henry with 160+ yards rushing! 2 Picks from Humph, 1 in the endzone! Hope he is okay. With Tampa trying to take away Flowers, Bateman stood up! A win, against a really good team, make no bones about that. But, this defense is still a mess, broken coverages still haunt them. They gave up 21 pts in the 4th quarter, could not get off the field on 3rd down. Tampa dominated the time of possession, even with the Ravens ruahing for over 200 yards. Something has to change on defense, you can't win in the playoffs like this, with this defense.
  12. That scamper by Mahomes along the sidelines is why qbs who runs near the sidelines will get blasted even if they are heading out of bounds. Good move by him to help his team, bad move for all qbs
  13. Brave man papa, that is a thankless job so let me say thank you (I vote by mail)
  14. This was both the worse and best thing that could happen. Best, they get him off the field, maybe win a few games. Worse, as you said, they are officially stuck with that contract for at least 2 more years
  15. I only made it to half time, it was bad. Turned on a movie instead, it too was bad, but sometimes a bad movie is better than a bad football game
  16. Appears to have torn his Achilles tendon, if so, done for the year. I've never seen so many of these types of injuries..
  17. Works every time, say they can't, then they do, 14-0 Iggles, 4 mins left in the half
  18. All of that talent on the Eagles offense and they cant string together more than 2 or 3 first downs and can't score Against the hapless Giants too boot..m end of the first, 0-0
  19. A common misconception, after all, they draft so many Bama players..
  20. True, but Stephens didn't go there
  21. Hardy, Harrison, Ali, out, Washington doubtful, Hardy to Ir
  22. Per Espn, Evans is a game time decision, didn't practice Thursday nor Friday, hamstring...
  23. Let us not forget, he is still raw, give him time. He started out his college career playing runningback at UCLA, for 3 years before he graduated and transferred to SMU, where they switched him to corner.
  24. The Ravens defense is do for a pick or two, Stephens especially. He has only been beat by perfect throws and incredible catches this year. Wiggins too is do for a pick. I could see them get one or two this game..
  25. Billy B & Peyton Manning analyze Lamar https://youtu.be/aK3iUt1eXhU?si=TGq9yl5WDhdS6uO1
