  1. Kudos to the 12th man today ! Good job Max and Crav for helping bring home our 10th win. Keep up the great work guys !
  2. Crav, Keep that Purple Passion coming !
  3. Max and Crav, Hate to crap in your java, but not seeing it. Dont know how we can suddenly play "lights out" against the SB champs and Drew Brees. But, hey, its the NFL and anything can happen. Enjoy the game, Max, and keep those toes warm and hot toddies coming !
  4. Well said and the FO had better start to protect our franchise.
  5. Crav, You just keep getting better and better. Keep it up man !
  6. Gotta be the reason. He hasnt done jack squat this year. Maybe he can open up a lane this Sunday vs Saints so Ray Rice can improve on his 3.9 YPC average.
  7. LeRon McLain is being considered as PB selection as FB. Can anyone explain whta the hell he done this year besides hock on some big mouth Dolphins LB (Crowder, I think?). Anyone, Crav, Max or Cleetz. I dont get it !
  8. I'm sure. That sounds like a future invitation for a brewski ! Maybe we can catch up on a future game when the temps are above 50 degrees.
  9. Bad example I only thought of that team because I was actually business partners with a CB on that 69 Jets team. Helluva nice guy but despised that team. Johnny U should have started thta SB instead of Morral !
  10. Crav, You are really reaching for the planets to align here: If we beat NO, then win out.....If Steelers lose to Jets, Panthers and/or Browns. Anything is possible, 1969 Miracle Mets, Joe Namath led 69 Jets, ......... Rick Moranis' led Little Giants Keep drinking that purple wine
  11. Too bad King doesnt wear shoulder pads too ? Maybd not !
  12. You are delusional, Crav, but I love your spirit, man ! Look, can you overnight me some of that purple kool aid down to Virginia in time for Sunday's game ?
  13. Max, Better you than me w/ the cold weather gear. Im still thawing out "my gear" from the Steelers game. I hope you and Cleetz are right on your hunches. Im still not seeing it. Anyway, Enjoy ! VARAVEN
  14. Max, I couldnt agree more. There is a solid core here - its just needs to be continually tweaked and improved. The loss of Gaither, Foxworth and Kindle really hurt. Tough for any organization to overcome. We cannot ignore the holes any more - CB, LT, S, LB, DT/Pass Rusher. Gotta do it; gotta replace Ray and Ed. NE is primed for another long term run; gotta follow their lead and overcome them - Skirt Man/Justin Beiber only has a couple years left. Rest of this year: I am not expecting anything; if we go 1 and done, so be it. If we go further, great !
  15. Max, Sobering thoughts. We are just a pretty good team that is marginally playoff worthy - we'll see after Bengals game. Regardless, like many playoff teams we have holes. But we have many, many holes - no pash rush (outside of Suggs), weakening run D, horrible OL, disfunctional offense and queswtionable playcalling. Oh, and our D has reverted back to tackling the football, guys' helmets, etc., instead of just wrapping up. My point, we are a bordeline playoff team that, if it wakes up, could make it in. The team wont go far because the above deficiencies will rear their ugly heads, most certainly on Sunday against a better, more complete team. This ship cannot be turned around in a week or two. Still, what the hell, if we make the playoffs, that would be 3 years in a row. For that, we can be thankful and fortunate to watch a team in the postseason. Not a lot of fans can say that. And we have a very good young QB with a promising future.
  16. Agreed. How many more times are we going to run the obligatory WR screen to TJ or Mase that nets 2 yards ! We could probably list a zillion oddities from Cams playbook. Come to think of it, dont get me started !
  17. Yep. Now we just need to have Cam turn the reins over to Joe !
  18. Crav, With all his critics and some of the bashers, Joe has quietly, humbly emerged as a sound QB. He is actually rated above both Mannings, Brees and Ryan - are you kidding me !! We are very fortunate to have him and the FO better clean the OL big time in the offseason (Ive already given up on this year). As a minimum, we need to get the Gaither situation straightened out (either dump him or pick up a bonafide LT), put Big Mike back where he is most effective at RT, find a legit Birk replacement, leave Grubbs/Yanda at G, and create a decent bench/reserves of OL. Our current situation cannot be tolerated after this year if we intend to keep Joe as our franchise QB. Meanwhile, I like the progress and leadership that Joe is beginning to show. With a more effective OL, an improved running game, and a stout receiving corps, there is not telling how far Bazooka Joe can go !
  19. Neither. Bad, very bad OL. Cant make chicken salad w/chicken poop !
  20. Yeah, I miss his Sock and his many anecdotal remarks and humor like "Mike Flynn stepping all over our QB's feet" !!!!
  21. Muchobingorama ! Our OL is horrible and, you are right, we are damn lucky to have a still upright Flacco and be 9-4 and in the WC hunt. As our good friend and late Sock used to say, it all begins and ends with the LOS. We are mega-deficient at the OL and need to acquire via draft or FA, a strong Center, LT and a versatile lineman who can play either G or T. On the other side, after we resign Ngata, our DL needs an injenction of interior muscle (replacing Gregg) and the addition of a pass rusher which we have lacked big time. We cannnot rely on Suggs as our only legit pass rusher any more. If we do that, we are golden !
  22. Crav, if that purple coffee is making you feel better, esp after that 41-3 trashing of the Texans you predicted, you might want to lay off that "joe". Playoffs ? Playoffs !
  23. Everyone is calling Josh Wilson the MVP and savior from last night. However, upon closer review, last nights MVP was our lineman who won the coin toss before the OT. The lineman (Cory Redding I think), who was probably the only lineman whose tongue wasnt stiking out after the 4th quarter, won the coin toss with a "tails". If we dont win the coin flip, Texans get ball and continue shoving down our throats and win with a TD or FG. There was no way, Crav and everyone else, we would have won the game unless we won the toss, moved the ball, gave our D a chance to retrieve their tongues, punted and pinned Texans back to the 10 before the Wilson pick 6. Runner up MVP were the ST trio of Reed, Kock and Cundiff. Without them, we dont win this game. Speaking of ST, kudos also to the cops for not yet arresting Reed . Without Reeds 100+ yd KR, we lose this game. Looking ahead, I dont expect much of this team. We'll get torched by Brees and the Saints, we'll grind with the Browns and play a nailbiter, and then gut it out with the Bengals. We might win 1 of the last 3 games and finish 10-6 and no better. Playoffs ? Playoffs ! If we make it, we are 1 and done. We've got way too many holes - no running game, crappy OL and 0 pass rush. Oz, the Biscuit and Harbs need to focus the entire off season in fixing our OL and getting a pass rush. Ths team and organization has forgotten about the "trenches" cuz we are losing battles there this season.
  24. Indeed !
