He is a QB so he doesnt have to run.  Brady, Brees, Marino are just a handful who dont run around but move the ball very well.  He has a good enough arm.  That strike on the left sideline a little before halftime was a long throw.  It was also perfectly placed for the catch.

I do like Stroud.  He is special too.

I like Stroud and the QB from TCU too

I expect Lamar to be out another game, possibly the rest of the regular season, even with the div possibly on the line to end the season.

Not having Cambell or Peters worries me more even with Mack showing some promise after the call up, fresh muscles & legs.

These teams usually split games, with the payback being lesser playoff position or knocking the other out completely, which the Ravens can officially do...

They will sell out to stop the run, dare Huntley to beat them... Stillers with revenge

    Tsy,

With this years squad, I have no expectations for this game or rest of season.   About the only we can count on is ugly, grind it out, pound the rock and little to no vertical game (ca 100 yds/game) from here on out.

Of course, the nastier the weather, the closer we can stay in games and make it interesting.   That’s our best case scenario for the rest of the season and post season.

  3. IDK when or ever we’ll see another Ravens 2K defense - not in todays watered down and high octane offensive league the NFL fans want.  But for this era,  this defense -sans 1 or 2 edge rushers , shutdown CB and safety - while nothing close to the 2000 D is pretty good.

in fact,  if the offense held up it’s end and the team was playing complimentary ball, we could make a nice run like 10 yrs ago.

Until we get that next franchise QB and correct offensive systems,  we ll have to ride this D and running game.

  4. Another game we are supposed to win convincingly.  Ha!

It'll be another barn burner.  Our D will somehow, someway make the rookie QB look like Johnny U.

Meanwhile, our O will struggle against an Atlanta D which plays tough and a team that still has hopes of winning the NFC South.

Something tells me that if they were calling for Harbs & GRO's heads after last game, wait until after this one.

  5. The team desperately needs offensive leadership - from the coach, OC and Qb.
Without it, the team just flounders - plays tough and gritty - but has no identify

The “change” won’t happen soon enough. Until it does we will get further behind the elite teams - Buffalo, KC, etc.

  6. Proves again new offensive system, OC and QB needed.  Lamar wouldn’t have made a difference tonight; all the more reason to gear up for changes to all three in ‘23.

Next season w/ a replaced offensive program and QB with this defense gives me hope for a good future.

Until then, we are stuck with this gut wrenching, painful pathetic offense for 3 more games.  Don’t want, deserve any playoff talk.  This team is 1-2 levels below KC & Buffalo - teams with an offense that deserve to be in SB hunt.

Yea but how far beyond? When does it catch up to you? They haven't gone far with Lamar because of the poor passing game.

94 yards passing yesterday. How long is that sustainable? It won't do week 18 and might not be enough this Saturday vs the Browns.

Sure. although Snoop only played a half.  Projected over a full game = 16/24 and 180 yards. Not stellar but serviceable. Don't sleep on Anthony Brown.  Who knows; maybe this Irrelevant QB combo will surprise.

  8. Guess that's why the Biscuit gets the big bucks.  Not trying to get too far ahead of ourselves, but if I'm Biscuit/DeCosta  I would:

Tag and trade Lamar for high draft picks - focus on Roquan as the big off-season signing plus another WR

Draft or a acquire a franchise QB - there's another Brock Purdy out there (fwiw- TCU's Max Duggan would like sweet in purple).

    Replace Roman at OC

In the interim, plug Snoop and Anthony Brown in for the interim.

    Just my two cents ....

  9. My sense is this Lamar issue will come to a head early in the off-season - before FA and the draft.

If I could be GM for the day, I'm tagging or trading Lamar.  If he goes, we need the next franchise QB.

We've observed Lamar for 5 yrs and believe we've seen his best.

In the meantime, we will need a future QB to lead this team.  I love some of these college QB's that are coming out.

Its probably a crazy thought, but I would love to start over and draft a guy like the TCU QB Max Duggar.

He's an Iowa kid and plays with a lot of energy, passion and has a very good arm.

There are others - the USC, OSU and Bama QBs.  Guys who are passionate and can lead.

The longer we stick with Lamar, the longer we delay the inevitable.

I'm ready to switch horses and move on.  I hope the FO is, too.

    My humble two cents....

  10. Here we go .... lots of questions .....  Is Stanley playing, what JK, how about Marcus at safety?  We need these dudes!

Tough game Sunday in the 'Burgh.  Steelers on the uptick, trending up.

Cold, wet wx in the forecast.  May need to return to pounding the rock in a relatively low scoring game.

    That was totally tubular

It seems a no brainer that we just concentrate on pounding the rock Sunday.  Hopefully, Gus & Co are healthy.  Since we have lost our passing game and that is Denver's strength on D, that's our key to success.   Grind it out!

The 2 that Turdbaugh didnt choose.

He has been gullible on football matters many other times.

IDK about gullible; maybe indifferent.  As a successful biz owner, like his DC counterpart, he's got other fish to fry.
