Speaks volumes about this historically bad defense.

Good depth signing - one never knows when next man is needed - see Pitts and NE. Plus, I think Forsett is on the wrong side of 30 and on the small side. West brings a bit more size and nose for the end zone. Low risk, potential good return.
-
Yep, look at the former invincible Aaron Rodgers. Now that his OL is beat to crap, running game stinks, and WRs are suddenly average, Aaron is playing scared. Just goes to show its always been a team game and when a QB has all his weapons he can be damn good. And when he doesn't, well........

Max, that's what I am hoping for. How cool would that be for this kid to turn around his career & in his hometown. Nothing ventured; nothing gained.
-
IDK- maybe the dude can reinvent himself, learn under Forsett, and be the man down the road. He's only 24 and, as stated, he might at least provide RB depth, experience and a spark at little or no risk. At 2-6 what have we got to lose !

Awesome signing . Yes !!!!! I watched this guy in the CAA against my alma mater - he's a beast that just hasn't performed for whatever reason. This may be the change of scenery and breakthrough that he needs. Love the pickup and hope he gets back on track soon. Welcome back to BMore Mr West !!!!!

Bingo, Max. Although we may not have seen our worst ball yet. Still, it's hard to imagine things being much worse. Hard to fathom how Joe can be 6th in passing yards (though his QBR is way down). By the way, while we are lamenting over Perriman being MIA, what's going on with Max Williams? In grown toenail, pink eye, jock itch? I tell you, Johnny U and those guys must be rolling in their graves.

Maybe. If he's as good as advertised. I'm just tired of watching this team failing to covert 3rd and 4th and 1 and having to resort to passing 10 yds just to get 1 measly yard. Yeah, if he's as advertised I just might. I'll be live St. Louis is quite pleased with Mr Gurley. Just saying...
-
Well I wouldn't mind being that sucker team. We haven't had auch a dominant runner since JLew. I'm ready to have a legit hammer in the backfield. That's just me .
-
Wow. ! Would love to see that guy in "our" purple. Hey, its okay to dream right ?
-
Hmm. That gives me time - 1 week - to snag Bortles for my fantasy team.

"How in the heck in todays era and with whom do we recreate a successful long term winning formula like we started in 1996? Who are my next 2016 equivalents of JO and Ray that we build the team around " ?
-
Max, it's a crappy feeling and I'm not digging it. It stinks to be irrelevant and the butt of all NFL jokes. 2016 can't get here soon enough.
-
It stinks but I'm writing this guy off. That way, if he returns and kills it, its a windfall. If he doesn't, we are no worse off than where we are right now. Come FA and draft time, Ozzie and Co need to right this ship.

Good pint. Everything, esp the QB play. Is magnified when you lose. Winning cures everything right. Case in point.: Cam Newton throws 3 picks the other night in a Panthers win but you don't hear a thing.
-
Just for giggles, anyone know when he's coming back ? 2016, 2017 ?
-
Interesting observation. You wonder if the season going south or pending contract expectations are beginning to weigh on him. We easily forget these guys are stil human, you know ?
-
There were a million reasons including Joe's fatal INT, why we lost. Joe went down swinging; trying to win the game. Still, Joe's part of the problem and part of the solution. Right now, we got a whole of problems to fix, not the least of which is Joe. btw- Joe is 7th in the league in passing yards (ahead of Rodgers, Dalton and both Mannings) with arguably the WORST receiving corps in the NFL, a makeshift OC position, precarious OL (sans Yanda) and a dysfunctional running game. Let that all sink in for a few minutes.
-
Penalties reflect lack of team discipline and leadership. The team, not the league, owns it and needs to fix it.
-
Yep. Even on Johnson's first TD - which was a busted play- we had guys (Mosely)whiffing on the guy. When crap goes down, it goes down.
-
Tsyl, Cant disagree. I'll go a step further. You could trace our problems back a few years - SB win in NO. The team - talent, coaching, FO moves, draft, etc. - has gone south. It was just a mater of time.
-
Yep. Over after that . The final potential game tying drive was just a tease.

Crav, I thought the turning punt (game was lost) after the fumbled punt right before the half. We were in the lead and had momentum before the half. Should have had the lead 10-7 going into half and starting with the ball in 2nd half. My opinion.
