Only the 7th but we done pooped this one away. Agreed on the questionable call to leave SP in. Teams going to need to rack up bookoo runs every night. Starting pitching just gives you the damn shakes

Agreed 100% . Maybe there's a SP we pick up mid season from a non contender.

I think we witnessed the Os winning formula last night. While we aren't going to see too many 9 run outbursts, the blueprint is clear: score lots of runs, trust the SP gets us 5+ innings, and let the middle relief and closers take over. This is how we were built and who we are. We're 8-2 after 10 games. Let's see where this takes us.

DC, I hear ya. After SP, the next biggest team weakness is hitting with men in scoring position. It's been our Achilles for several years. Team continues to live or die by the HR.

The sketchy SP is beginning (emphasize) to rear its ugly head. If it, in fact, goes south well we all saw it coming, didn't we. The middle dudes and closers are fine. Just need to hope and pray for decent SP and for these guys to step up. In the meantime, 7-2 ain't too shabby of a start. Maybe we get things back on track tonight. Need bats to reappear tonight after a few days off. Lets get er done tonight in Texas !

I don't know the details of the Arrieta story but I watched him struggle mightily while in Norfolk a few years ago. He was very ordinary when I watched him while in the minors and majors. Who knows why or how his pitching has taken off ? Maybe it was coaching (or lack thereof). Or may be it was simply change of scenery. Or perhaps.. sometimes the grass is greener on the other side. Stuff happens.

The bases are loaded and Ozzies at bat; it's time for Ozzie to hit one out this draft. We need some good young talent at multiple positions. Can't wait for this draft !

Would live to hear a great comeback story this year. He's always had the potential.

Tbird and Crav, Living up the road in Rosedale, I Remember the Golden Arm well. My dad took me there - circa 1968 - and met Johnny Unitas. I think it was the year he suffered the Achilles injury.
