  1. Best news of the day.....-aside from the Os beating the Rays. Really glad we brought him back. His veteran experience and added depth to the backfield is critical. Plus, he's a guy who seems to get it and cares about the community.
  2. With his stellar play this off-season, what do you all think about him starting as either safety or linebacker ? The guy has 2 picks, can cover TEs across the middle, and brings energy and physicality to the D. Oh and he plays like a raven . I don't think we can afford to not place him on the starting or at least 3rd down defense . Any thoughts or reactions ?
  3. Love that Levine kid. He needs to be in the starting D- either as LB or safety. LB might make sense since he can actually cover TEs going across the middle. Regardless, he's a dang playmaker - something the current D lacks - and they need this dude on the starting D.
  4. And how long has our O been lacking a running game? Since we had the 3 headed monster - Rice, McGahee and LRon McClain, Prior to that, the Jamal Lews era. Otherwise, we haven't had a strong running game and have stopped trying to convert 3rd or 4th and 1. It won't change until we change coaches, attitude and personnel. Since Ray and Reed retired, the team has lost its swagger on both sides of the ball. The guys who have any - SSS and Suggs - are at the end of their careers. We need a couple of 20 something hell raisers and hooligans who can kick butt and take names.
  5. Agreed. FO failed to address SP in the offseason and there's nothing in the pipeline. We are reaping what we sowed. Outside the SP, there's some talent - Machado, Schoop, Britton - and something to build around. We just don't have any reliable, consistent SP and don't see any on the horizon.
  6. Max Those will all be fun to watch, especially Dixon - he looks like a keeper. I really want to watch the LBs and Secondary tonight. I'm glad Joe's not playing tonight. Best to save him for next weekend.
  7. Houston 15-8 ? No Os magic or pitching tonight.
  8. Tornado, can I get a swig of that purple kool-aid ?
  9. Perriman ? Who is that ?
  10. Wow. Helluva comeback Ill tell you. Down 7-1 and given up for dead. Thats a damn big comeback and series win against a legit NL playoff team. Maybe a return this week to OPACY will reinvigorate the troops and triger some Os magic. Go Os !
  11. Terrance West making a case, too.
  12. Dixon's a gamer; likes the rock. If the OL holds up; we'll have a strong running attack this season.
  13. Not too shabby 1st half considering a Mallet led 2nd team offense. Defense hung in there all half.
  14. O's sleep walking in Oakland ? Bats asleep; anyone awake on this board ?
  15. Yep, assuming Tillman remains solid, we are going to need many of these big time performances from Bundy, Gausman and other SPs down the stretch.
  16. Yep. Throw in a healthy Steve Smith and an improving young WR corps, things could get interesting for the "O".
  17. Yep; table was set but the boys didn't show up. Too bad we didn't take advantage and get more separation from Sox and Jays.
  18. Is he worth pursuing ? The competitors like the Bosox are going to make a run at him. Don't see us pulling the trigger but would love to have this guy in our rotation.
  19. Good depth signing. Nothing more, nothing less.
  20. Well, egg laid tonight. Tillman gets rocked and we get worked by a bunch of no name colo pitchers w 5-6 ERAs.
  21. Me too. It's Embarrassing.
  22. Awesome sweep and SP. Still need more pitching; don't mind losing Ubaldo but we don't want or need Upton. He's no better than we already have. We need more pitching if we are going to weather the storm - Boston and Toronto aren't going away.
  23. the Os SP cannot survive off Tillman alone. We need more SP big time and now. If we don't pick up someone before August 1st, this teams headed south and fast.
  24. The Os bats picked a heckuva time slumping against these 5.0 ERA pitchers from the Yanks. Sheez ! Back into this offensive funkorama again.
