  1. TCleetz, I hear you on the hitting, defense and bullpen - all strengths. To be successful, we will be winning a lot high scoring games, esp at the Yards !
  2. Tcleetz, agreed but still need some SP. Even with this Gellato dude, we will likely be in lots of 8-7, 7-6 games. We may have that anyway.
  3. They need to retain KO; let Monroe go. I know its complicated but Monroe is not a long term sol'n; KO is. Be securing the OL, they can grab the CB or WR in the 1st round.
  4. I still like our 3 headed monster - Forsett, Allen and West- moving forward. Throw in Taliefero ; we should be okay. Need to focus/fix the OL and WR corps.
  5. I agree and believe Joe and this team is in much the same position it was when Ozzie & Co acquired Bolden, drafted Torrey, etc. If Joe can return healthy, Ozzie can retool the WR corps, and the defense is fortified with a pass rusher, LB and CB and safety, this team can become relevant - a contender - for consecutive years. A lot depends on the draft and key FA acquisitions which Ozzie has a penchant for doing well over the years. It's time for Ozzie and Co to hit a homer this offseason and during the draft. Here's hoping that he and FO hit it out of the park
  6. i'm still rooting for April & the draft to hurry the hell up and get here. Warmer weather, O's baseball and the NFL draft ! But, if I'm pulling for someone- its the Panthers and Pats - and for the Panthers to knock the snot out of Brady and Gronk.
  7. The Treadwell pick would be huge. After watching all the WRs over the weekend, we are so behind on offensive playmakers that we've got to snag this dude. SSS, Aiken and a maybe Perriman isn't going to cut it. Plus, we don't have $ to pick up an O playmaker this offseason.
  8. Crav, so you don't think we need SP or just another Chen? We lost a pitcher and, whether you liked him or not, we need another SP big time.
  9. I think we need more of a proven, successful lead off guy. Not sure Rickard or Hoes fill the niche. The rest of the lineup looks good. Still need a SP to fill the void created by Chen's departure.
  10. Glad to have CD back but like yourself concerned about SP. Plus, we need another big bat and a lead off guy.
  11. Crav, either would look nice in purple.
  12. I tell what potential playmaker I'd love to see us sign in the offseason - Doug Baldwin, Seatlle. The dude has game and is a FA. Imagine him with SSS. Aiken and the TE Corps. Pipe dream ? Maybe, but he would fit in nicely. In 2016
  13. I am rooting for the dang draft to get here quick !!!
  14. Yep, to coin an old adage - be careful what you ask for .
  15. Fudge ☹!
  16. Here's hoping for an enlightening FO message - not some rah- rah yawn type stuff. I am not holding my breath.
  17. Weve got holes all over the place - can we sign them all ? !
  18. Well, that all in the past. Its time for Ozzie to reinvent himself, get with the times, and snag some PM'ers this Spring. Shoot, if we had 1 or 2 on offense, we might have won half the games we lost this year.
  19. And TSyl, securing 1 or more of the above would be a good first step.
  20. TBird- agreed this is what he must do. The question is whether he'll do it. He's had mulligans the last few years. Time to right the ship this off season.
  21. Yep. We've all been saying this for quite some time. Ozzie and Co need to hit it out of the park this offseason - on both sides of the ball. .The FO needs to get its collective arse together and acquire/draft some damn playmakers. I'm sick and tired of watching the dang Steelers and Bengals loading and reloading at the WR position. I'm tired of in Ozzie We Trust and BPA. We need some accountability and some talent in the field. Let's get er done !
  22. Ok, don't disagree that Ozzie's best days as GM have passed him by (esp at WR ) but with whom do you replace him ? Kokonis, etc ?
  23. Got it Max! Was just stating a positive - a silver liner - in spite of the horrific year. Points are what matter and we are near the bottom. Of course, let's not forget the points given away by the QBs - pick 6's and the last second TDs. Still, at the end of day, your right - it's point scored and allowed. Hopefully, we see improvement in that category next season .
  24. Did you know that our D is 10th in the league in defense (total yards) ? Pretty damn shocking with our JV, injury riddled and snake bitten bunch. Get the secondary fixed, find a young stud pass rusher, and fortify the LB corps then we can return to a solid top ten D.
