  1. Yep, the key now is how to keep that mojo, staying focused and hungry ......one game at a time. Our guys are hopefully looking at Buffalo (and each of the next opponents) as a bigger and stronger challenge and climbing the ladder......one rung at a time.
  2. Well, Lamar had fun, D balled out D Henry 40 YARDS !!!!!!! and we exorcised a BIG demon today. Damn fun to watch and Max is buying beers for everyone! Woo hoo
  3. Lamar reverting to his bad no fun habits again. Not a good start !
  4. Let’s see whether Lamar has fun today. Much hinges on that !
  5. I reiterate - all three things must happen for us to win. If all three happen, Lamar is happy and we are all happy and moving on to the next round. If we don't have the trifecta, Lamar is bummed and the narrative (on him not winning a PO game or the big one) continues and we are all left wondering in the off season. Lets get the trifecta boys and have a cold one late Sunday !!!!
  6. For us to have a successful Music City Sunday, three things need to happen: 1. Our D line has to be relentless in shutting down the the King Henry., start to finish. 2. D has to be in Tannehill's grill all day - Wink needs to strategically dial up pass rushes - & Judon & Co needs some big time sacks. Tannehill is going deep, maybe the first series/play from scrimmage to AJ Brown or Davis. We cannot allow that crap ! 3. Lamar needs to be the Lamar (after he hit the latrine in Cleveland), play His game, run, pass, elude, and MOSTLY HAVE FUN. If we do that, Lamar is happy, Harbaugh is happy, team is happy, and VMax is buying beers for everyone (or at least posting it !). If we don't, season's over and we go into mourning, followed by denial, then pre draft mode. I'm hoping for the Lamar has fun and "aint the beer cold" time on Sunday.
  7. I expect a war in Nashville on Sunday. Should be a great, old school, smash mouth slobber knocker. Can't wait ! Lets hope our boys walk into the lions den, carry a spear, scream like banshees and finish business this time.
  8. Yep, lace em up and get ready for an AFCN slobberknocker. Every game is a playoff game from here on out
  9. Yep, cant sleep on Bengals. If I'm Harbaugh, I'm showing the film of the 2017 game ending dagger that knocked us out and sent Buffalo into the POs. Yes, I'd let that crappy feeling set in real good and remind them of how these so called weaker teams just need 1 game to wake up - Cincy against Pittsburgh and Jets victory over the Browns. Most importantly, Lamar and the offense simply need to taker care of business, play their game, dictate the tempo, have fun and play winning football. Do that and we will be allright!
  10. Yep, Andrews and Snead GO TO Receivers. That and pound the crap out the rock. Not necessarily in that order.
  11. Chuck Thompson lives eh ? Aint the beer cold ! Damn I'm going to have to watch tonight on NFL replay with a Nattie Boh !
  12. Count me among the ones who had it all figured out - and picked a high playing, ascending Browns team to exact revenge from an earlier 38-6 blowout in Bmore in September and convinced it would take both a shutdown of Baker Mayfield and an epic performance by Lamar to win. Only one of those 2 things happened but what I hadn't figured on was Lamar's beyond epic performance. He played with relentless passion, energy and determination - the substance that makes him and this team a winner. In Ray Ray like fashion, Lamar flat out willed his team to victory. Wow; just wow ! You just cant make this stuff up. As Tsy said, who knows how far this team can go but they sure are damn fun to watch. Its going to be a journey; but we just got to keep winning......one at a time...... and treat 'em all like a playoff game. Remember, Jags went toe to toe with and were a failed two point conversion from OT with Browns two weeks ago. Just saying ....
  13. In order to win, Lamar and the O would need an epic performance and the D has to play lights for 60 minutes. Anything less, won’t cut it.
  14. Tough call tonight - who the heck knows who shows up ? Did Lamar and the Boys rediscover their our mojo against the Cowboys ? The Browns have a load of talent - especially on the offense and won convincingly in Tennessee. They are playing at a high level and on the rise . We are enigmatic and aren't playing at a level we saw last year....yet. Can we continue last week's success and show up from here on out ? Conventional wisdom says the Browns are playing at a higher level, at home and with a very healthy backfield and WR corps. My gut says we might be starting to right the ship, and getting some guys back healthy at the right time. My two cent prediction - The good guys play hard and keep it close for a half or 3 quarters, but fall short in the end. Cleveland pulls off a big W and stamps their playoff ticket.
  15. Currently, in assessing this team right now, what is our identity and who is the face of the franchise ?
  16. Oldno, sounds like Cleveland is growing on you ! I understand as i grew up in Cuyahoga Falls and lived there ten years before moving to Bmore. I've always had mixed emotions when the two team meet. While we've dominated the series so many years, Cleveland is really peaking and making a legitimate run to the playoffs. They seem to be the more balanced, complete team and we are still trying to find our mojo. We would need to play a complete game and Lamar has to play lights out for us to win. Just my two cents..... You are right about the Cleveland weather - gloomy from October - April. Don't miss that weather at all !
  17. Oldno, points well taken. They have far more offensive weapons and are peaking at the right time. In my mind, they are the third best team in the AFC right now (after KC and Pitt). They are at the moment playing at a high level and without OBJ.
  18. Lots of walking wounded here. Still, no matter who is playing, three things need to happen for us to WIN. 1. We must spring our rushing attack free - Dallas yields 156 rushing yards/game - highest in the NFL. 2. Andy Dalton has had huge games against our pass D with much fewer weapons (when he was in Cincy). We must run roughshod over their depleted OL and be in Daltons grill all night. WFT showed the footprint. 3. Lamar is going to be rusty so he must wisely use the rushing attack and work in screens, play action, etc. He's gotta take care of the ball. If he does that, we can take of the game.
  19. I sure hope Lamar is well enough to play effectively. If not and Trace starts, then so be it. Shoot, Maybe both play.... the Mc Jackson show ?!
  20. Browns game will be a war but gotta first win the battle against Ron Mexico. We just need to get the W.
  21. After Wednesday's valiant performance, the team seems poised and ready to take on the remaining schedule. As a fan and like most everyone on this board, I am optimistic the team could begin an ascent for the final month. Here's the question: Has Harbaugh instilled some sort of moral victory after Wednesday's tilt w the Steelers ? As an outsider but a long time follower, it seems the Harbaugh coached teams often follow up a close game and moral victory with a dud - almost as if the team earned some kind of satisfaction; only to be followed by a thud. Its akin to the golfer who makes and eagle or birdie; only to lose enough focus to bogie or double bogie the very next hole. One thing I've noticed about Harbaugh is that he seems to settle for moral victories and its shows up the next game. I'd like to see him more tactfully and strategically recognize the valiant effort(s), but constructively and firmly criticize the mistakes by pointing out how its unacceptable. He hasnt led in this way like say Bellichick or Tomlin, the latter of which reportedly lit up his team after Wednesday night's performance. After listening to his post game comments, you would have thought the Steelers lost the Super Bowl. Maybe this time its different. Perhaps he has told his team, in spite of Wednesday's heroic effort, his own mistakes and the team's aren't acceptable and moving forward the team must now play with urgency, focus and commitment to winning. We'll see. In my mind, Tuesday's outcome will determine our playoff fate and season. We either ascend from our 3 game losing streak or descend further into a free fall. IDK what team or performance will show up, the outcome will define the rest of our season. That's a certainty.
  22. Watch out for the JV team !
  23. Doubt we get the chance, but would love to face Pittsburgh with a FULL 100 % squad in January. In the meantime, Harbs should be plastering this stuff in front our players faces. Game on !
