You don’t tell the league your plans. Just make deals and trades. nothey don’t. Trey and Lindy are a wash basically. you don’t have to do top dollar. You start at a place and negotiate. If it goes above a number you cannot go to you trade.

I’m not saying they have to take the first thing offered by the team. But I would want a deal. If I can’t get one again I can make a trade. I will not let guys walk for nothing. Lindy is gone and we will get nothing for it.

It depends on situation. If I had a huge hole somewhere I would put myself in a place to fill it. If not bpa is the way to go. But more important is identifying the keepers on the team and inking them early. Others if the have value look to deal them for picks later. This applies to guys who lack dedication but show huge talent.

I think I could do better as a gm than 2/3 of the league. So many make such poor decisions all the time.

I came to a conclusion yesterday. Eric knows the team is in trouble. He knows he can’t fix it fast. He hires minter as a patsy to take the blame. He points to trying to get Crosby and landing Trey as examples of look what I did to help minter. When minter fails Eric survives for another few yrs of getting paid.

But he has never proven he can just be a pocket passer well.

On the Bain front I hope it becomes a Suggs issue. I take him in the 2nd easy. The tape don’t lie.

No. I look at his tenure as with leaders and then without. Harbs is also not the only reason I think they have sucked now. Like in Dallas the gm is a big part of it.
