And neither does Brees but he produces like crazy. He takes dudes much like Brady does and gets them to produce. Joe is not even close to that. He has had talent in the past and still not shined.

Brees has carried that offense. The problem is the D keeps totally sucking. Remember how in 96 and 97 the Ravens would score like crazy but the D was not good enough to hold that lead? It is similar to that. Joe can't even carry and offense.

I grasp that. The one thing is many qbs that are paid like that can carry a team. Joe is unable to do that. Also look at the question. IF you COULD upgrade one position...? If they could pluck Joe off the team and throw in a better one I think the team would be 3 wins better or so.

There are guys at every game who watch to add up stats. Like tackles are not given at the end of the game.

The way I see it Joes contract is the big problem. With a smaller deal so they could move resources around he would be fine.

I think Dan is really stupid not to be a seller. With so many teams that think they have a shot he would have leverage to get better deals. It is time to start thinking long term bc the whole team will be shattered in a few yrs if they don't.
