Former Pittsburgh Steelers outside linebacker James Harrison has been talking with the Ravens, according to his agent. Agent Bill Parise told The Baltimore Sun he's spoken with Ravens general manager Ozzie Newsome regarding the former NFL Defensive Player of the Year as well as six other teams. "I've talked to Ozzie, sure have, had a good talk about James," Parise said. "It's early and we're not in negotiations, but we're having some good conversations. Baltimore would be an outstanding place for James to play because he knows the division and has that familiarity and they're a class organization. We'll see where it goes." http://www.baltimoresun.com/sports/ravens/ravens-insider/bal-veteran-linebacker-james-harrisons-agent-talks-with-ravens-20130312,0,1079751.story

The Browns' new regime of Joe Banner and Mike Lombardi made their first free-agent signing, agreeing to terms on a five-year, $40 million contract with linebacker Paul Kruger less than an hour into free agency. Here's what to like: the Browns get a pass rusher in his prime and take away the sacks leader from the Super Bowl champions, who happen to be in their division. Here's what you have to question: the Browns paid an average of $8 million per season for a player who has six career starts. Kruger, 27, is a solid player. He isn't a special one. You just have to temper your expectations for him or you'll come away disappointed. It's hard to do that when a team makes this type of financial commitment to a player. Kruger is a part-time player, not an every-down one. He doesn't have the size to hold up against the run, which is why the Ravens used a second-round pick on Courtney Upshaw last year. The Browns could have pursued the Lions' Cliff Avril, who has 29 sacks in three seasons. Instead, they went with Kruger, who has 14.5 the past two seasons. http://espn.go.com/blog/afcnorth/post/_/id/66948/browns-first-signing-is-a-questionable-one

Ravens 'Highly' Interested In WR Amendola After trading Anquan Boldin, the Ravens are reportedly "highly interested" in free-agent wide receiver Danny Amendola. Amendola, 27, caught 63 passes for 666 yards last season, but was limited to just 11 games due to injuries. The 5-foot-11, 183-pound wideout has had health issues during his career. The question, according to The Sun, is whether Amendola is in the Ravens' price range. http://www.baltimoreravens.com/news/article-1/Free-Agency-Rumor-Mill/da7e6d28-8129-4b6b-a443-b543b4d8d47b

Posted by Darin Gantt on March 12, 2013, 10:15 AM EDT Getty Images It appears Ravens outside linebacker Paul Krugers going to be one of the first names off the board this afternoon, when the free agency period opens at 4 p.m. In fact, he may be close already. According to Aaron Wilson of the Baltimore Sun, the Browns are closing in, on a deal with Kruger, while noting that nothing official yet of course. Of course, because that would be illegal, and the exact kind of pre-arranged deal the league was careful to scare teams out of making. The Ravens covered themselves for the eventual loss of Kruger by drafting Courtney Upshaw, but the Browns will view it as a double dip, adding a pass-rush specialist to their defense while weakening a division rival. Once it becomes official, of course. Which it cant be. Officially.

BOLDIN UNAWARE OF TRADE http://espn.go.com/blog/afcnorth/post/_/id/66845/anquan-boldin-was-last-to-know-about-the-trade
-
OK, so it was a team effort on all parts, Im sure Torrey made some key catches too..But we'll survive
-
Id give winning the SB credit to Jacoby Jones moreso than Boldin, not taking anything from Boldin, but if Jones didnt get behing the DB's ve Denver we wouldnt be here. And didnt Jones score our last TD vs San Fran?

Alright David Reed its on YOU By Aaron WilsonThe Baltimore Sun 7:05 a.m. EDT, March 12, 2013 As the Ravens make their bid today to try to hammer out a contract with starting inside linebacker Dannell Ellerbe, they've already accomplished another piece of business. Wide receiver David Reed has agreed to a two-year contract that carries a maximum value of nearly $2.5 million and includes a $500,000 signing bonus, according to league sources with knowledge of the situation. Reed was a restricted free agent who didn't receive a tender from the Ravens. http://www.baltimoresun.com/sports/ravens/ravens-insider/bal-wide-receiver-david-reed-baltimore-ravens-agree-to-twoyear-25-million-contract-sources-say-20130312,0,257347.story
