  1. Posted by Darin Gantt on March 12, 2013, 10:15 AM EDT Getty Images It appears Ravens outside linebacker Paul Krugers going to be one of the first names off the board this afternoon, when the free agency period opens at 4 p.m. In fact, he may be close already. According to Aaron Wilson of the Baltimore Sun, the Browns are closing in, on a deal with Kruger, while noting that nothing official yet of course. Of course, because that would be illegal, and the exact kind of pre-arranged deal the league was careful to scare teams out of making. The Ravens covered themselves for the eventual loss of Kruger by drafting Courtney Upshaw, but the Browns will view it as a double dip, adding a pass-rush specialist to their defense while weakening a division rival. Once it becomes official, of course. Which it cant be. Officially.
  2. BOLDIN UNAWARE OF TRADE http://espn.go.com/blog/afcnorth/post/_/id/66845/anquan-boldin-was-last-to-know-about-the-trade
  3. OK, so it was a team effort on all parts, Im sure Torrey made some key catches too..But we'll survive
  4. Id give winning the SB credit to Jacoby Jones moreso than Boldin, not taking anything from Boldin, but if Jones didnt get behing the DB's ve Denver we wouldnt be here. And didnt Jones score our last TD vs San Fran?
  5. Alright David Reed its on YOU By Aaron WilsonThe Baltimore Sun 7:05 a.m. EDT, March 12, 2013 As the Ravens make their bid today to try to hammer out a contract with starting inside linebacker Dannell Ellerbe, they've already accomplished another piece of business. Wide receiver David Reed has agreed to a two-year contract that carries a maximum value of nearly $2.5 million and includes a $500,000 signing bonus, according to league sources with knowledge of the situation. Reed was a restricted free agent who didn't receive a tender from the Ravens. http://www.baltimoresun.com/sports/ravens/ravens-insider/bal-wide-receiver-david-reed-baltimore-ravens-agree-to-twoyear-25-million-contract-sources-say-20130312,0,257347.story
  6. wasnt it 2011 we cut, McGahee, Heap, Mason and Buddy Lee on the same day, we all went ape shit that Heap & Mason were Joes security blanket?? and we were a blown call from the SB In the words of SPEN, All is well, Carry on
  7. Lets get a time out here, we won the SB in 2001, now correct me if Im wrong but the next year we made it to the 2nd round of the playoffs, and if not for an egotistical coach replacing the SB winning qb, we maybe would have repeated..Then we cut anybody and everybody in 2003. Yet, we somehow still managed to go 7-9, Its not like we went 1-15 and were the laughing stock of the NFL. That came in 2004 with the Boller draft, as the better QB, was left to rot on the bench. Wish they would quit using the 2003 purge as an excuse
  8. Minny offered us a 7th. apparently teams dont feel the same about Boldin as we do.
  9. Fug em we'll sign Goldson
  10. Reed heading to San Fran?? Posted by Mike Florio on March 11, 2013, 6:41 PM EDT Getty Images Receiver Anquan Boldin may not be the only Ravens player who joins the 49ers. A league source with extensive knowledge of the current safety market believes that the 49ers could land Ravens safety Ed Reed. As Albert Breer of NFL Network first reported on Twitter (as best we can tell), Reed has indeed hired David Dunn of Athletes First. Now that Reed has an agent, the agent can talk to teams in advance of the start of free agency at 4:00 p.m. ET on Tuesday. The fact that Reed is in play for the Niners means that Dashon Goldson isnt. Goldson is expected to be the hottest free agent on the safety market. Reed may not be the hottest, but he may be the next big name to join one of the hottest teams in the league.
