Just imagine if they had built the stadium facing the right way... Or built it with a retractable roof.....

We could stop this.....if we were a better country. Maybe someday.

I watched a total of about 4 different games so far (not all Orioles games) and I am already annoyed with wandering strike zones, Not a fan of the Covid rules either.

Yea...this is a low budget telecast....Palmer hasn't even shaved.
Final 7-3.
I can't sit for 3 hours and watch this on TV without having other things to do. I might go to radio on work on stuff.
Baseball on the radio can be a beautiful thing. Not so much with the crew I heard today though. No offense to them but they were not good. You can't take a sports call in host and slot in into play by play and expect him to be good.
Hopefully they improve. It can happen.

These radio announcers are awful.

Good win tonight. Means was good and the bullpen was excellent.
4-2 is so much better than 3-3.

Opening day 3-0 shut out of the Red Sox!
The Means and Montcastle show. Means threw 7 scoreless innings. He had control all the way. At one point he set down 18 straight batters!
Here's an obscure stat. Considering all the great Oriole pitchers of the past, Means is the first Orioles pitcher since 1901 to go 7 or more innings on Opening Day allowing 1 hit or fewer.
Who'd-a-thunk?!
Montcastle hit a 2 run double off the Green Monster.
Sweet start to the season. I never expected Orioles pitching to hold up against that line up.
Retirement is good. I got to watch my first opening day game in about 20 years.
Not so good is the outrageous price for jerseys....
$259.99That is robbery.Means was awesome. What a start for Mullins!

There are chips that are owed so old legislators stick around to keep cashing them. It is not like they bring a damned thing to the office now. Diane Feinstein is #1 for that now. In the past it was Strom Thurmon. What does a 100 yr old senator bring to help the electorate?
I don't necessarily disagree, just not fully in favor of a law blocking people from voting for 100 year olds.

While I try not to vote for ancient candidates I do not think there should be an age limit. I think that is ageism pure and simple. The parties and people should do a better job bringing in and supporting younger candidates but I don't think there needs to be a law.
Kind of the same with term limits but I am closer to being in agreement with term limits. Not there yet, don't vote for them if they have been there long, but I understand the desire for some.

Solid addition. I'm good with this assessment..............now they don't have to draft a WR in the 1st round unless a really good one is there.
Yea...he's got to stay healthy.
I think he'll love playing with Lamar...get a second wind to his career.
Its a good deal. Not a long term nor a big salary. Hopefully it works out, if not no big deal.

Since the NFL added the 17th game the league has made some moves to prove they care about the players. The games will now be made up of 4 14 minute quarters,
"If you add up the game time after this change, even with the 17th game added, we are asking less of our players than ever before", Goodell stated. "In fact, we may have to tweak the CBA to reflect this increased time off."

So? They hired a player not a coach. If the fans want a mentor for Hurts they should urge the team to hire a retired player or someone to mentor him,
Good move, no risk move by the team and a decent deal for Joe.
-
Hopefully for the both of you - he gets hurt. Hopefully it's during a day game so Tim can see it live.

Ravens sign Sammy Watkins to a one year deal.

Let me tell ya how it is.... Typical reponse when talking about Lamar, yes we all know he is a stud, a beast... Yes, touchdown passes are nice.. But how far are they? Ok, he ran then down to the 30, or into the redzone then threw the touchdown pass.
However, where are the game changing throws? We've seen 1 or two each season, the tough ones, down the sidelines while in the pocket, the back shoulder throw to save drives, win games. The quick strike long touchdown throw to change the game?
Again, one or two per season.. Nothing consistent to make a defense back off.
Sure, the run game is great, we can blame Roman for not calling play action, hard play action routes down the seam or behind the backers deep, consistently. But if Lamar is not hitting those, if he can't make those throws in practice consistently, how can Roman call those plays?
I think we have a mixed back of blame here and yes Lamar does deserve some of the blame if you will, if he can't read the option, or make the throw....
Plus what good is a 8 yard pass for a first down in the middle of the field if he should have thrown a six yard pass to a different spot?
And running for the first? "How exciting".

Good for him and the Eagles. Decent money for Joe at this point in his career and very low money spent by the Eagles. Plus he is a local boy. If it works out - great. If not no big deal.

There are people who know things we want to and those that don't!
Don't listen to Scotty! He doesn't know! Scotty doesn't know!

It's a scary time. One side wants affordable healthcare and decent wages and the opponents claim that would be handouts. Then they try to convince a generation of primarily white men that their futures have been stolen by immigrants and minorities. And that women owe them too.
Also "fun" - Texas is a mess and I feel bad for them but blaming it on wind and solar power? Lol. When something goes bad in a state or city run by democrats, republicans blame democrats. When something goes wrong in a state or city run by republicans, republicans blame democrats.

No one way to do it but the definite is you have to draft smart.

What happened to the debate about putting a CAP on earnings by position?
It's unfair to the other players to pay 1/2 billion dollars to one man.
One could argue the owners and the players both have a system that works right now. Why fight and try to get that past the players association when even if successful the cap on a QB would still be huge?

Here's another quote. You'd think it was from the Ravens after one of their brain fart playoff losses....
All in all, it was a lousy game. The Chiefs didn't show up and they had no answer or adjustment for the Bucs D.
First super bowl I have not finished in years. After the Patriots scored their last td I figured it was over and tuned out.

I'm ok with all the penalty calls but it kind of sucks the fun out of the game..

KC's oline is not playing well.
I got to try the new escalators
in Baltimore Ravens

If the seats were just a shade lighter the stadium would be very very good. Plus if they would have flyovers every quarter the experience would be better.
I'm not as young as I used to be but I still want weather to be part of the game.
