I guess by making Juan Castillo's job title official, I guess John Harbaugh feels that going forward, this absolves him of blame for causing in house confusion and rebellion by of hiring an outsider over and above ( $$ ) those assistants with seniority within his staff. What fightens me most now is John Harbaugh, a coach with a history of bad hires for this team and it's players, now has the potential opportunity of hiring a few more of his buddies ( Running Back Coach, and perhaps Offensive Coordinator ). I'm just so glad that Steve Bisciotti fired a shot across Harbaugh bow by stating to Preston that failure was not an option and if there is no improvement, he will step in. The last time Bisciotti found it necessary to step in, Brian Billick and staff were shown the door.
-
Bye the bye, Harbaugh finally admitted that Juan Castillo WAS the O line coach last season and not the Run Game Coordinator as he proclaimed throughout the season.
-
In the post presser interview with Preston, Bisciotti said should this mess of a season happen again, he will peronally step in. Think Brian Billick .... bye bye Harbaugh.
-
Listened to the tape again and Ozzie said we will have to get bigger in the interior offensive line. Guess that means Gradkowski is done.
-
Bingo. That one was a head scratcher. This may be Ozzie's way of letting Harbaugh know that Castillo's zone blocking scheme is DOA and Harbaugh's sticking out his neck for his good buddy may have been too risky.
-
Am I serious? Absolutely. I credit the Ravens organization and it's personel for Harbaugh's phat resume - certainly not Harbaugh's coaching abilities. Despite his resume, do you honestly believe Harbaugh would be a hot ticket on the open market? Before you answer, think Brian Billick.
-
That's all good , but if Harbaugh wants Bozo the Clown as his OC, under the terms of his contract, he can do so. Besides, I personally think John Harbaugh feels he's made of teflon. After all, he stole $$ out of Bisciotti wallet for good buddies Mattison, Cameron, and now Castillo with no repercussions. He's clueless as a gameday coach. He's wrought havoc in the locker room and amongst the coaching staff. All this while receiving a mid year extention and jangling a SB ring around the Castle. This guy's head, like Billick before him, has got to be the size of Jupiter by now. I'm no Harbaugh hater, but for the sake of this organization, I won't shed a tear if he gets canned.
-
Not news. Every NFL coach has the right to hire his own staff, it's in his contract.
-
Castillo is O line coach. Castillo is O line coach. Castillo is O line coach. That's unbelievable. Castillo is O line coach. Castillo is O line coach. More failed finesse line schemes. That's unbelievable. Castillo is O line coach. Castillo is O line coach. Whatta recipe for extreme failure. Whatta diaster.

COACH WILBERT MONTGOMERY FIRST SCAPEGOAT
rastaman831226 replied to rastaman831226's topic in Baltimore Ravens
Whoa! Looks like Castillo will be back afterall. So that means the problems with the offense, according to Harbaugh, boiled down to the running back coach, Wilbert Montgomery? I smell SCAPEGOAT!!!!!!! -

COACH WILBERT MONTGOMERY FIRST SCAPEGOAT

On the Vinny and Robb Show on 105.7 this morning. Both Vinny and Robb said that Wilbert Montgomery was " dead man walking " after Montgomery failed to inform Harbaugh that Ray Rice was not in the game for most of the first half of the Bengals game. But wait a doggone minute here, you mean to tell me that the HC of the Baltimore Ravens, John Harbaugh, did not realize his star running back #27 Ray Rice, was not in the game for almost a half in what was the most crucial game of the season? The stadium crowd knew it, the TV broadcasters knew it, the radio announcers knew it, the team knew it, Ray Rice knew it, Jim Caldwell certainly knew it, Wilbert Montgomery certainly knew it, I knew it, it seems the only person in the dark on this was John Harbaugh. What planet is this Harbaugh on during gametime? Perhaps Ray Lewis' statements about the lack of leadership were more accurate than we thought and perhaps broader than just the personnel. -
Are you crying?
-
Ravens running back coach is the first casualty of John Harbaugh's promised change in coaching. John Harbaugh characterized the move as " Montgomery moving on to seek other job and life opportunities. ". Bullshit, Wilbert Montgomery was fired by Harbaugh. Funny how things were honkey dorey with the offense, the offensive line and the offensive staff until Harbaugh convinced the FO to drop big $$ on his loser buddy Juan Castillo.

Add " HYSTERIA " to that list for typical Flacco Groupie behavior. Do keep going Brain, this hole you're digging gets ever deeper and more entertaining with every new post. And yes, you did take the bait.
-
Cut the crap Brain. You, in your words, " ...... took the bait. " and got properly slammed. Man up and own it. The point of this whole exercise was to display how far Flacco Groupies will go to deny the obvious. The obvious being Joe Flacco is a mid to lower level NFL QB with a huge Franchise QB contract that for the length of the contract will kill this organization's hope of ever returning the Lombardi Trophy to this city. This girlish Flacco hero worship is embarrassing and anti Raven.
-
1. Joe Flacco now owns the Ravens' record for most INT's in a single season ( FRUSTRATION ) 2. Joe Flacco now owns the Ravens' record for most INT's in a single season ( EXASPERATION ) 3. " Flacco's INT total this is still lower than Mannings personal record 28. Or 23 in his sixth season. " ( DESPERATION ) 4. Joe Flacco now owns the Ravens' record for most INT's in a single season - fact. Any argument to the contrary will never get off the blocks - fact. You have no case. You have no merit. 5. This lame attempt to argue against fact marks you as the penultimate Flacco Groupie ............... Brain.
-
Isn't this by definition FlaccoLuv? Duuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuh?
-
Oh please stop. This level of desperation is too much. I feel for you.
-
Wow! Flacco groupies defending one another while crying in a fetal position and frantically sucking their thumbs. Whatta embarrasment!!!!!
-
Ding! Ding! Ding! Winnah!!!!!!
-
Joe Flacco has broken what previously had been thought of as the Ravens' most unbreakable record. He has surpassed Kyle Boller for INT's over the course of a season with 22. Not a good thing for our one hundred twenty million dollar elite QB.

Beginning of the end for Caldwell?
rastaman831226 replied to OutsideRzAcE's topic in Baltimore Ravens
Norv Turner? NOOOOOooooooooooooooo!! Norv's still stuck in the 80's - leave him there. How's this? Dump Castillo and any other useless assistant recommended by Harbaugh on the payroll - turn the offense fully over to Caldwell including the hiring and firing of Offensive Assistants ( as it should have been from the beginning ). It's the K.I.S.S ( Keep It Simple - Stupid ) approach to winning football. Oh and while we're at it dump Pees - his cerebral approach to defensive football got him kicked out of New England - why oh why did anyone think it would work out here? -
Beginning of the end for Caldwell?

Though I dislike conspiracy theories, I wouldn't put it past Harbaugh trying to pull this one off. -
