We don't want to see the 1st, 2nd or 3rd offensive play of the Jets be a bomb to Holmes for a TD. The Jet's will come up trying to surprise and catch the Ravens D before they get their first hits in. The Jets have to score first. Quick... and stay on top to keep the crowd out of the game. They are going to come gunning early. Read this please! They want to start out like the Ravens did on the Steelers and Rams. That's the game plan. Weather the storm and beat them into submission please. Thank You

I have no idea how you could play and enjoy Maddened on a Droid.
-
Evans is out so it's up to Smith/Doss/Williams. Keep Cromartie busy and work the underneath stuff to Pita/Dixon/Rice.
-
I see a close hard fought game because this is the Jets "Heading for the Alamo" game looking at their road ahead. If they don' t bring it and play a hard 60 minute game then their playoff hopes are in trouble. Could be up to the 12'th man.

The Ravens had no pressure on Hasselbeck the week before plus he got the ball out fast. Bradford runs a hurry up. Obviously it was no issue against the Lambs.

Nice! I've got Verizon and a Droid...so do my kids.

I have a lot of thoughts on this game, but I'll start with one only. I see Rex designing a defensive scheme like the Titans did...because that was effective kryptonite for Joe and the offense. He will take away the WR's....and blitz away...and run blitz. I actually want Evans to play if his leg is basicly ok. Yea...resting until after the bye is best for Lee but this is an AFC game and critical to the Ravens playoff chances. Cam can counter Rex with Evans, Bouldin and Smith Bouldin, Smith and Doss/Williams...no shot.

It was a tremendous feat....but the water on it is that he did it against a terrible Rams secondary. Do something close to that Sunday night...even 50%, and his bandwagon will begin to load up because Rex will go all out to shut him down. Torry's about to face some real adversity. Love this photo...

Beginning note: This really is not about Michael Vick. He's just one of the 5 NFL players the media chooses to talk about everyday, all the time. QUESTION! How does everybody love the 20 minute updates on Vicks hand on the local sports talk shows this week? I felt like I was living in Philadelphia. OH! OH! It's only a bruise! Like we really friggn'n care!!!!!!!!!! and...and...the Refs are so unfair to him! I bet they own dogs. Of course nationally this is all they talk about...meanwhile it's week 4 and 31 other teams with 53 man rosters are getting ready to go at it. This will be the theme for the year. VickVickVickVick because everybody lives in Philadelphia or doesn't have a team they follow or doesn't have a life. The theme will change when it's officially announced the Manning is out for the year. This will require a month of discussion. The killer is that you can't switch channels to escape this because every new group of talk show hosts have to give their opinion on it. By the time their show is over you think it's talked out... WRONG! The next group who take over the microphone feel they have to give their opinions... IT'S GROUNDHOG DAY. "Today our football experts will analize this....all 26 will say the same thing."

Towson State victory? Maybe the Terps go accross the street to Sheppard Pratt for evaluation?

Look on the bright side...we're saving the trees.

I knew Ryan couldnt keep his foot out of his mouth
vmax replied to cravnravn's topic in Baltimore Ravens
It's good that Rex has to worry about him. The underneath stuff and the middle will be there. It also looks like a pound and ground game. Take what they give you. -
I'm sick they kept Foxworth and let Wilson go. I'm sure it was a CAP thing My guess is Fox is done as a Raven. They'll reach an injury settlement and move on. As for Kindle...he's not ready to be on the field...too many guys are better than him and Harbaugh only plays the best guys. It's that simple. This is an elite defense. It's the Ravens defense and unless injuries decimate a position you are not going to get on the field and jeopardize the other 10 men. One day....maybe...Kindle will be a valuable contributer. Until then, I don't want to see him until the coaching staff thinks he's better than who they have on the field. I actually think the guys not too bright and that's what is holding him back at this time. He's got the physical tools, but he has to master the mental part of the game.

I expect a very intense effort from the Jets for several reasons. They know the Ravens are very physical and after Oakland pushed them around, they know they'll get slaughtered if they don't whip up the physicality and speed. They have not played well and the next stretch of games will be their season. It's murderers row: Ravens, Pats, Dolphins, Chargers, Bills and Pats. The way they are playing they could very well be out of it by mid November. So I expect a hard fought, intense close game. I think the Ravens win because the Jets couldn't get to Campbell and they won't get to Joe. Until the Jets find a way stop the run, teams like the Ravens with road grading lines will bury them. An intense, focused effort here will help the Jets stay in the game. Without that, they're done. The Ravens D should gobble up the Jets O line, stop the run and make Sanchez look like Bradford did last week. The potential for a Ravens blow out is very real looking at the matchups but I think we'll see the 2011 version of the Jets at their best...so it will be close.

This won't be the last time John hears this... Just wait till Thanksgiving and what his brother says to him after the game.

"So what do you think Don?" "OK, let's get something clear right off the top: If I hear or read one more reference to the "Dream Team'' having its season turned into a nightmare, I'm calling the cliché police and there will be arrests. With the Eagles losing their past two games in ugly fashion, everybody's had a chance to use that painfully tired phraseology by now, so let's all move on." But....but....he's too old! If you watch 1 Winning Drive you'll see Ray and Ngata talking on the bench with other players about the game in progress and what's happening. Ngata keeps telling them "just listen to Ray"..."do what Ray says"..."Ray's right"... Ray knew every tendency and what was going to happen on every play.

OK...it's early, but the Ravens offense is now ranked #12 in yards per game but more importantly, they are #8 in points scored.
-
Currently the Ravens defense is #1 in the NFL in the most important stat...points surrendered.

As Joe's game expands and opens up so does he. He's been letting us know his thinking bit by bit. Here's the latest quote and I think it's significant. I like it. He's hungry.

Coach answers it...

I agree on the consistency issue. If they make the playoffs for the 4th time in a row, then I say it's about time they start stringing some wins together....and Joe needs to play like he's capable of playing. The rest of the players too. You need a solid, balanced core of very good players to be consistent. The Ravens have that. I think the Ravens will have no problem getting up and bringing it to Rex, Broadway Schmo and the Jets on Sunday Night Football.

Spot duty...rotating Kindle and McPhee in is the best way to develop them. There's a standard to hit as a starter on D and it's high. Cory Redding was a beast yesterday so if he keeps that up it will take time for McPhee and Kindle to hit the field other than spot duty or injury.

Funny how fans and talk show hosts were stretching to find something wrong. OMG! Some guy...Glen Unis???? He sounds like he drinks Red Bull and fires speed before he gets on the air...then he talks so fast it gives you a headache....and he won't stop! His sentences are 5 minutes long....by minute #2 I'm in complete anxiety.
