  1. I was reading ESPN's power rankings and came across this nugget:

All but one of the nine wins have been by 10+ points.

After having to endure our offense for all those years, timing bathroom breaks around when the offense was trotted in to give the defense a quick breather.... this season has been so refreshing.

Playoffs or no, this is a new franchise.

  2. I really think that Suggs is going to blow up the Squealer's O-Line. He's got his timing down pat... and exploding off the edge. Couple that with the fact that the Squealer's O-Line is quite honestly one of the worst in the league, and I think we'll give Big Ben a good look at stars above Baltimore.

  3. "Waaaaahhhh!!!

"We were 6-2 and now we're 7-6 and you find that hard to believe," quarterback Jason Campbell said. "You'd thought you'd at least be sitting here 9-2 or maybe 10-3.

and now this in front of all those people!

    Waaaaaaaahhhhhhhhh!"

Yeah, someone bring out the whaaaaaambulance: player down!

  4. Here is a thought for next year: Do we convert McClain to a HB fulltime next season?

Right now he is at 260+ pounds. For a fullback, he needs that weight. However, if he were to be a half back fulltime, he could probably stand to lose some of that gut without losing any strength and power, and at the same time gaining some shiftiness and quickness. So would it be in our best interest to maybe put McClain on a HB training regime, get him down to a solid 250, and just pound him away?

I'd be worried about his separation speed either way - he's not built for speed, he's built for power. The power he does very well... but what would concern me is his (probable) inability to break loose once he bowls over the linebackers.

He's not a track star, that's for sure. He's more of a field kind of guy.

  5. mcgahee looked like he hadn't played all yr, very rusty. However, were going to need him to come back strong especially next week. I love mcclain but eventually teams are going to figure him out .

The 'Skins tried last night by stacking the box when they saw Neal and McClain lining up, but those two are almost too much to handle. Neal is enormous and McClain is too powerful of a runner to not eek out ~3 yards on each attempt if the line hits all of the blocking assignments.

As for McGahee, I think he's a one-handed monster sometimes. Dropped passes, fumbled balls... not really the makings of a game that was supposed to get you out of a doghouse...

  6. I don't want to be "that guy," but I hope that Willis doesn't come back into the game. He's dropped passes and been largely ineffective. I really hope that Harbaugh isn't keeping him in the game to prove a point or caving to his "superstardom."

McClain and Rice are doing a decent job carrying the rock. I'd be happy to see either one (McClain on the inside stuff, Rice on the outside stuff) with carries.

  7. I shocked they upheld that honestly

The ball looked like it was coming loose after what looked like a Reed suckapunch to the pigskin. I thought he would have been down by contact at that point.... glad I was wrong. :D

  8. Very nice! How did you like London? I studied abroad in Cambridge a couple of summers ago and got the visit London. The UK as a whole was a bit too rainy and cold for my tastes, but London was definitely cool to visit!

I liked Scotland more than England, but both were awesome. We spent a considerable amount of time visiting my wife's sister in the Kettering area (about 40 miles north of London).

  9. My wife and I just got back to the States from a trip to the United Kingdom. We went to the Tower of London and I got some photos of the Ravens they have on site.

    Here's my favorite:

  10. As much as the Ravens fate is in their own hands, it sure ain't helping that the league keeps letting the chips fall in just about everyone else's favor.

Just got to keep our heads down, grind out more wins, play our football and make our own breaks.

  11. ESPN the Magazine had Ryan on the cover of their "Next" issue. He's having a helluva year, but the Falcons have a cupcake schedule (24th ranked SoS). Of course he's beating teams - the majority of them are teh suck.

Looking at the SoS page, I have absolutely no idea how the Patriots get away with having the 32nd ranked SoS. That's the punishment for cheating? A cupcake schedule? Gah. What a bunch of wankers.
