  1.

BG- This guy would have to be very special for the Ravens to take him before the best available offensive tackle. Real special. But, stranger things have happened.

Hence 'wild ass guess'. Lol. I know that if any of the big four OTs are on the board, the Ravens would jump at them but I don't think they are going to be around.

Another wild ass guess: ravens trade the 17th pick to the 9ers for their 30th pick and 58th pick.

    Ravens select Moses OT, Virginia

  2. Ideal scenario is to trade back with the 49ers and get their 2nd round pick #56 overall to go with 1st round pick #30 overall. With that 1st pick I would take Jimmie Ward, FS, Northern Illinois.

We can then target Best Need Available from OL/WR/TE/RB with our 4 picks in the 2nd and 3rd rounds and draft BPA for depth the rest of the way after that.

    OR

Picking at 17 I hope 1 of Taylor Lewan or Zack Martin falls to our pick.

I like the Ward move, very possible.

  3. I haven't been an advocate of trading down in this year's draft because I was thinking we could get a stud player ready to play now with the 17th choice. But now I'm hearing the top 4 tackles will be gone, Clinton-Dix will be gone, Evans and Watkins will be gone. If it really plays out like that I could see us moving back in the first round. I hope it doesn't happen that way. Lately Oz hasn't been doing well after falling back.

I don't think Pryor is the safety we need. Ward is.

But hell yeah, Max. I'm counting down the days! I just want to have a first round pick who's a starter no matter where we draft in that round.

the cards are seeming to fall against us right? But this draft is rich, I can't wait myself! If we move back, I just want good value and still a great great first pick. Ed Reed wasn't top 20. So this may be the draft to find that type of star late in the first. Maybe not an Ed Reed, that's once in a gen great, but an impact guy.
  4. Actually I wonder if had he been here and not in Jax that Byron might have panned out. But again Billick would have had his time to destroy him.

I always thought he would. Big arm like we like. He was too slow and a long wind up but may have done ok here. Not great but ok. Glad we didn't get him because we never get Suggs or Joe if we had gotten him
  5. I think he's done until his football money runs out. By then he won't be able to buy his way into the league. He wasted an opportunity here. But if he gets his degree, maybe he can find something in life he wants to do. Not insulting him about the money , that's par for the course with guys who fail to adapt to professional sports life

  6. Well, no sweat off our back.

Ozzie called his bluff. He said he wanted to play. Ozzie basically said put up or shut up and go home.

Didn't hurt us any tho and the only embarrassment was for Cody who backed him so hard and talked him up. You do have to follow your heart, that's true but it wasn't a smart move to kill any chance of a career. He should've stayed away another yr. His loss and he lost weakly. SMH

  7. School, I hear you but where's the pain in giving it a shot? We're talking about trouble he go into last yr. so he took the yr off. Guess what? No trouble. So he's not in football shape. Let's get him in football shape. If there's something there to help us win games, we'll find it. If he has nothing, then he's cut. If he gets into trouble, he's cut. It's about winning games and getting guys who help you do it. He's had issues but if he's a good player and has put his issues behind him, I want him. I don't want him to be another Burfict. We didn't take that shot on him and here he is knocking the snot out of Ray Rice. He could've been a Raven. And he's not having off field issues as was thought he would. Give it a shot and see what's there with R McClain.
