  1. All that is true but even rating this 6 guys ahead of him and maybe a couple more still means he's around 9th to 12th best in a league of 64 outside guys. That's up there. Take into account how bad the offense was and that he still put up the best numbers we've seen from the position since Michael Jackson. He needs more TDs but Joe had a horrible yr. No time to throw and no running game to speak of.

And you didn't answer my questions.

I see a guy that I wouldn't trade. I see a guy to build my passing game around. I see a guy who makes plays and can take games over. I see a number 1.

I may be the only one at this party but he's going to prove to you that many more should be here with me.

  2. Low risk high reward. He'd have to make the team so if he's in good shape why not?

exactly. Cut him if he has nothing but if he can live up to his high draft position at 24 yrs old then we might have something that we got for nothing. Think about this K Benjamin is 23 and he hasn't played a down in the NFL. RM is young enough to still be something.
  3. Ok P. I don't agree because all those guys have disappeared in a game here or there outside of Megatron and Julio. AJ is in our division and in the game where he caught that Hail Mary to send it into overtime, he was essential shut down up until that flukey catch off the tip.

And outside of Megatron and Bryant, who else had to do it without the benefit of capable players around them? I have to throw Gordon in that category too, he doesn't have much.

I really respect your opinions because even when I don't agree, they usually get me thinking or seeing a different angle but this one has me stumped. I don't see why you can't see it.

I see it. I guess he still has to prove it to some. I hope we lock him up now because if he gets to market, we'll pay out the nose to keep him or else.

I'll ask you this, do you want to see him on another team? Would it hurt our fortunes significantly if he was traded for...say Denver's 1st rd pick this yr?

  4. Gentlemen, he's a number 1. Without the benefit of Q he dropped impressive stats. He couldn't be covered without help.

When Jacoby got all the way back, you started to see Jacoby get open as teams tried to hold down Torrey.

These things constitute a number 1.

Had Q been on the team this past season, imagine Torrey's numbers. If we had a running game to speak of this past season, imagine the play action.

Who in this league is Megatron? Really?

Look at AJ's receiving Corps last season? And running game too.

Marshall had a near clone of himself playing opposite him!

Outside of Megatron, I can't see those guys doing a heck of a lot better in Torrey's position last season. Look at what they did on their own teams, it wasn't a heck of a lot better.

You guys can't see it or are you afraid to be early to the party? Torrey is a number one and if everyone stays healthy this yr, it's going to shine through. Come on and claim it. We finally have a number 1 at WR.

  5. I was just responding to you thinking they stay pat. If there is a yr this isn't it. Actually next yr is a yr to move up or stay pat. It will be a poor draft.

I got you but I wasn't saying what I thought was the best strategy, just what I think will happen. I wasn't clear on that tho. If they get good value and players they want they should trade down. 2nd rd could yield 1st rd talent

  7. I'm still ticked at Ozzie for not getting Burfict, he went undrafted because of off field problems, we could have took him with the last pick, I don't even know who that was.....But Ozzie sure missed one there.....

can't get them all. Horrible workout and horrible interview caused him to go undrafted. He had attitude and off field concerns. I remember. He was linked to the ravens until those horrible workouts
  8. This is the yr to trade back. The draft is deep so you can get a lot of value with many picks.

But everyone knows that P. I'm no expert and I knew it before it was ever said. So if everyone knows that they can wait for great players, it makes teams less inclined to trade with you. They won't sweeten the pot in a trade. We won't find a McDaniels looking for Tebow. Unwilling trade partners will offer sparse deals. If we can get value, it may well be time to trade back but I think there will be a problem on the value end.

  9. It would have to be later round, Steve Smith is a stop gap this year, we still need a true #1,,wr and this is the year for it at #17.

don't think Torrey is a number 1? Not that I wouldn't like us to grab one of these WR coming out but I think Torrey is a clear 1 and if we got one, even Evans or Sammy. The best they could be yr one and two would be a number 2. I expect Torrey to be even better this yr. 75+ rec, 1250+ yards, and 8+ TDs
  10. I watch a lot of college football, love it and I must say Calvin Pryor is going to be an excellant safety, would love to see him as a Raven. However, I think he could be and will be had in the 2nd, a bit early for him. I also doubt a DT is the pick at 17. I don't think Ebron will be there and as I have said before, tight end, like receiver is deep, not much seperates Ebron from the others, but yes, if he is there and there are no good trades, take him.,

A bit early for Martin too, he is a 20 or lower tackle, good right tackle me thinks, not a starting left tackle in the NFL and Dicks, no way he is there at 17, even if he was, I am not convinced.

I truly think the Ravens trade down, I know, they get a lot of comp picks, one in the 3rd, which is great, but they stil need more picks this year, or even next year. If they could get another 2nd round pick for 17 to move down to the late 20's that would be best, or a 2nd and a 3rd next year to move out of the first. This draft is deep right where the Ravens need the help, save for left tackle, barring a hidden gem and left tackle worth taking in the first will be long gone by 17. There are some small school players not covered by these types of draft gurus who are going to be stars with the right coaching and the chance to play in the NFL.

are we really worried about LT right now?

I don't think we are trading out because the draft is so deep, it will be hard to find a good dance partner that gives up enough. This may be the yr we just make the pick. Just a hunch.

I think HHCD is good but then there's Pryor and also Brooks from FSU. All athletic Safeties. So if the right one isn't there at 17 we may wait around for Brooks in the 2nd after picking someone else at 17.

  11. His real name is Ha'sean Clinton-Dix......HA HA is his nickname because he is a happy go lucky personality..

UPDATE: Alabama's Ha'sean Clinton-Dix enjoys return to home sweet Florida

Alabama freshman safety Hasean Clinton-Dix has become the epitome of his nickname. The big-smiling, fun-loving, laughing-with-life kid from Eatonville has a charming, magnetic personality that has won people over his whole life.

pixel.gifThats why they call him Ha-Ha.

Thanks for that and I say bring him on if he's that good. The name has personality if he's a perennial pro bowler. It's rather unforgettable. If he's laughing while making picks, Ha Ha indeed.
  12. If the team think that Chykie is ready for the opportunity then we shouldn't worry. Stewart may be more than anyone knows. I've referenced Jim Leonard before. So I think this is a wait and see. Unless we get HHCD, Brooks or one of the other highly rated safeties... Even if we did get one in the draft I doubt he starts. Same goes for CB. So sit tight. At least Chykie is working to be the number 3 as we speak. He's hungry and I like that! He'll beat out the rooks anyway. Knows the scheme.

  13. Steel, stop. Rivalry is great and the fact that you're a rival of ours is a sign of respect. So what are you looking for here? And why try to crap on the Ravens accomplishments? Makes you seem jealous to come over here and do that. The Ravens are the Ravens. The Browns are the Browns. They have a history. Stop stirring the pot. Lol. I like you Steel. I don't take it too serious. The Steelers had 4 rings in a decade. It probably won't be done again because of changes. But that doesn't mean a lot these days because of all the changes since the 70s. You got 6 total. But there's been a lot of Championships in the Charm City too. Just admit that the only reason you have so many more championships is because you've been around longer.

  14. I like Art and overall think he was a good man. Irsay was an ass and I don't like him. Just because I think the moves were similar I don't want it to sound like I like Irsay. Yuck!

I think if everything was happening now it would go down differently. The city dragged it's feet because they thought the stadium was fine and until very late in the process thought the team would never move. Now we know if an owner isn't happy and the lease is up - then they better make him happy.

    true that
  15. Spen, I see it different. Modell was no angel and yes he had some deals fall thru and took some losses but he wasn't an out and out bad guy. Find something good to say about Irsay the elder. I'll wait...... Modell tried. You're right that Memorial was outdated but again, the city wasn't building large structures for others at the time. Irsay was a greedy drunken bum! Modell wasn't the same. It was the way Irsay did it. It was a bucket of water over the head followed by a hard slap in the face. My opinion tho. Someone from Cleveland might disagree
