Robjr83 Posted December 10, 2013 Posted December 10, 2013 Placed on IR after a concussion. My guess is that'll be a career for him. ----- The 15-year veteran was placed on injured reserve Tuesday after suffering a concussion in Sunday’s game against the Minnesota Vikings. Stokley, 37, has suffered multiple concussions over the course of his career and the Ravens determined after testing that this would end his season. To take Stokley’s place on the 53-man roster, the Ravens re-signed running back Bernard Scott. He was on the roster until Saturday when the Ravens cut him to make room for tight end Dennis Pitta. Scott did not see any game action with the Ravens earlier this season.Stokley has dealt with injuries throughout the year and played in just six games. He battled thigh and knee injuries earlier in the year before the concussion landed him on injured reserve. He finishes the year with 13 catches for 115 yards. http://www.baltimoreravens.com/news/article-1/Brandon-Stokley-Placed-On-Injured-Reserve/166d845e-7512-4ff9-a66f-259b14beb2eb Quote
papasmurfbell Posted December 10, 2013 Posted December 10, 2013 Not a shocker. He has always injured. Quote
Money Posted December 10, 2013 Posted December 10, 2013 His 14th documented concussion. It makes me cringe to think about what his quality of life will be like when he's 50. I hope I'm wrong. Quote
Robjr83 Posted December 10, 2013 Author Posted December 10, 2013 14th!....? That guy we'll have to have his address tattooed on his forearm so he can get home at night. Quote
oldno82 Posted December 10, 2013 Posted December 10, 2013 I really, really liked Stokley all these years. He had a lot of talent but his body durability just wasn't there. Lots of heart but injuries wiped him out year after year. I really hope he retires and is healthy 20 years from now, Quote
