Geronimo Posted May 9, 2014 Posted May 9, 2014 and then cleveland messes up the pick...........again Quote
papasmurfbell Posted May 9, 2014 Author Posted May 9, 2014 I think the kid is good. He and Haden will be a really good tandem. Quote
Geronimo Posted May 9, 2014 Posted May 9, 2014 the kid IS good, you're right, manziel scares me i'm really glad they didn't pick him Quote
papasmurfbell Posted May 9, 2014 Author Posted May 9, 2014 Things just got tough for the Ravens on D. Quote
Geronimo Posted May 9, 2014 Posted May 9, 2014 i'm going to love hating on Manziel, i have alot of respect for his game, but the Oz is drafting on defense we're going to be time enough for him. our linebackers will be able to contain him thats why the Mosley pick is a good one Quote
papasmurfbell Posted May 9, 2014 Author Posted May 9, 2014 Easier said than done. Johnny did what to Bama? He has a great WR and a pretty good OL. They have lots of picks to get more targets. Quote
Geronimo Posted May 9, 2014 Posted May 9, 2014 I know you're not comparing the Bama defense to the Ravens? Quote
papasmurfbell Posted May 9, 2014 Author Posted May 9, 2014 Yeah to be honest at the levels of talent Bama has been better than the Ravens D lately. Quote
cravnravn Posted May 9, 2014 Posted May 9, 2014 Deja Vu all over again, Quinn was a projected top 10 pick and fell to the Brownies in the 20's now Johnny football does the same..Its going to be a long year for that kid..Us twice, Pitt twice, and heck even the Bungles have a nice D. Quote
Robjr83 Posted May 9, 2014 Posted May 9, 2014 Manziel's got some good things going for him in Cle. One of the best LT/C in the league, plus Josh Gordon and Cameron. Quote

I didn't like his game at ND. JM played a real schedule in the SEC and easily held his own. Quote
RavenMad Posted May 9, 2014 Posted May 9, 2014 JM played a real schedule in the SEC and easily held his own. That's just what SEC honks want you to think. Texas A&M's OOC Schedule reads Rice, Sam Houston State, SMU, UTEP. I call bullshit on the real schedule. Nearly all of the SEC teams play relatively weak OOC schedules so that they can argue they are superior to other conferences. Why do you think their commissioner forced teams to schedule at least 1 game against another Automatic Qualifier conference that coincides with the start of the Playoff Selections in which Strength of Schedule is a factor. Which is a joke in itself as well (See what the Indiana AD had to say on the matter). In short JM did not play any harder a schedule than any other QB in a AQ Conference. Quote
papasmurfbell Posted May 9, 2014 Author Posted May 9, 2014 Well they haven't gotten rid of those nonSEC games that are contracted yet. In 2013 TA&M had a really horrid D so they had to just keep outscoring. http://www.ncaa.com/stats/football/fbs/current/team/1042/p1http://stats.washingtonpost.com/cfb/players.asp?id=202568 Sat, Sep 14 (#1) Alabama * Kyle Field (College Station) 9/14/2013 Ala 28 39 464 71.8 5 2 95 14 98 7.0 0 20 0 0 - 0 That is a pretty damned spectacular game against Bama. cravnravn Posted May 9, 2014 Posted May 9, 2014 College stats are fine and dandy for the heisman vote, I want to see his stats vs Balt and Pitt I bet it looks like this: 15 for 28, 160 3 ints and a fumble lost for good luck Quote
papasmurfbell Posted May 9, 2014 Author Posted May 9, 2014 Of course. I am just saying he was quite good against the best conf in college. It is not like he was stacking them up in Conf USA. Quote
