cravnravn Posted September 12, 2014 Posted September 12, 2014 Who da thunkit? I dont know but it seemed like Joe threw for 300 yards, I was shocked when they put up the numbers of 166 and 2 td's, 109 passer rating. And I loved Simms comment on Sundays game referring to us with opening game jitters and learning a new offence..So yea will take the mulligan vs Cinncy. Quote
vmax Posted September 12, 2014 Posted September 12, 2014 (edited) Yea...the Browns ran them over so I figured the Ravens would. What was important is the ground game put the O in good 2nd and 3rd down situations. Then they pounded a worn out Steeler D in the 4th quarter....controlled the clock so no comeback was possible.Even when Troufant had that sweet run to the 1 and missed getting a TD we went "Good...at least 3 more running plays to kill clock." As for the long ball that was absent. What I saw was a Steeler secondary that would have been murdered if the Ravens sent Jacoby and the Smith Brothers deep on the same play. Joe wasn't getting pressured. If Kubiak sends all 3 deep, at least one guy would be wide open every time. http://www.nfl.com/photos/0ap3000000393132 Edited September 12, 2014 by vmax Quote
varaven45 Posted September 12, 2014 Posted September 12, 2014 Totally concur with the running dominance ... up until the red zone and within the 10 yard line. I wonder why we couldn't punch it in.Not being greedy here but thinking we could/should have scored 2 more touchdowns. Kicking FGs instead of TDs. Anyone else ? Quote

Without a doubt the TD's mean everything. FG's leave the door open for comebacks. an awkward moment for Joe Cool on one fine Thursday evening.... Edited September 12, 2014 by vmax Quote
